Well i downloaded the Trinity patch. All went well and when i logged in i looked at an awesome new Vexor, no problems there (docked). But when i undocked i have this strange bug that makes every object in space (ships stations etc.) white.
I have an Nvidia GeForce 6600 GT graphic card so that should not be a problem.
I tried every combination with the settings and nothing works :(
Here is a screenshot of the problem: http://img460.imageshack.us/img460/4898/evelf0.jpg

Same problem here with 6600. Now I just see white or blurry white with HDR on. Surely there is a work around?

I'm having the same graphical issues on my GeForce Go 7800 (non-GTX version)
I'd love to hear what you come up with as a cause.

I am still having this same problem to and have updated my drivers and DirectX etc. Before I updated that stuff all ships and Stations were white, and now after I have updated they are still white, although I can find one angle to view ships correctly and can view stations from the farthest distance (this might have been possible before but not sure as I didnt try very hard before updating). Ship is white at every angle during warp. I have a 256MB Nvidia 7800 Go in a Dell E1705.

So it's not just me then...
I have a Geforce Go 7800 - Dell inspiron 9400 Notebook, everything was white in space, downloaded the drivers... Nothing! Not happy.
I have tried to update drivers further but the latest nvidia driver release was on the 18/01/2006 (i.e. predates my notebook), I'm a bit lost atm, so its up to CCP to find a solution now.

Edited by: Snoochie Woochies on 08/12/2007 15:41:03 Edited by: Snoochie Woochies on 08/12/2007 15:40:18 Im having same problem but ive only seen it so far on my Fleet Issued Tempest. Some of the ship parts are white unless i turn on the hdr and set the bloom then they glow orange and look like there on fire. It kinda looks cool but definitly a glitch. My regualr tempest has no problems and no other ship ive been in has the glitch and no stations aor objects in space. Its really wierd how only one of my ships is affected. I have updated my drivers and now im trying a fresh install from the main client instead of doing the upgrade from classic to premium. Im running 8800GTX cards and seems no one else has posted with that card so im positive its a ingame issue and not singled out to certain video cards. ill let you know if the fresh install fixed it. Im starting to wander if its a vista problem because my laptop with xp has no problems what so ever and the guys in my corp dont run vista and they thought i was going crazy when i told them what my ship was doing. Is everyone in this thread running vista? that might be a question to ask.....

this is a screen shot of what my tempest fleet issued looks like. The areas that you are seeing on your screen that are white look like this with hdr and bloom turned on.

Im having the same issue, and as im running Eve on a laptop, updating the graphics card is not an option. Ive also tried 3rd party drivers and they just make me run in 640 x 480 with lowest colour settings.
It also looks like CCP doesnt care about the ones that have this issue.
Not even the Classic client works for me, Im having to run the Premium client on Safe Mode.

Well, I do play on a Notebook with a 7800 Go GTX too. I had strange performance problems too. In station my FPS dropped from 120 after log-in to 5 after 3 minutes. The temp. is at 80¦C.
I was using the ForceWare 84.63 driver coming with the notebook.
What helped me was:
1. Using nHancer 2. Disable the "load station environment" in the esc-menu 3. Changing the driver to this one. It'll work for 66cc/7xxx/8xxx cards too.
Got way over 250 FPS in station and 100 in space, fleet, missions, PVP on SiSi atm. Going to test it on Tranq. now.

That driver seem to solve that problem! Thanks for pointing to it.
Is it normal, that I get only 50% of the fps with the Premium client compared to the Classic? And... how can I see what the temperatur of my laptop is?

Yeah, I get a drop of FPS with premium activated too. This is with AA (Anti aliasing) to 2xQ and shadows on normal. When both options are off I do get the same FPS like in the classic client. Try nHancer (link in my post above) to tune the driver.
As for the temperature, fan speed, benchmarking and other diagnostic stuff I use PC Wizzard for that.

Hi
Unfortunately, since the last mini patch I can no longer play Eve on my home computer. If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it. I am not a computer expert! I have a Dell Inspiron 9300 with a GeForce Go 6800 graphics card. Up until now I have never had a problem running Eve.
Twice Eve has frozen (mouse pointer doesnt even move) in mid warp and I can do nothing to unfreeze it. I've tried waiting (ages), pressing ESC to get to menu, pressing CTRL ALT DEL all to no avail, I have to manually turn my computer off. When I restart it all the graphics/text are corrupted, right from the very first windows logo at start-up. It then flashes a blue screen with lots of writing for about 1 sec before going to the plain text screen with start up options.
None of these options (last known good config etc) work except safe mode. I suspected a graphics card issue (genius, I know!) so tried disabling my graphics card, which works - but means I have no graphics card! I updated the driver (newest I could find was 8.4.3.0 dated 22/3/2006) and restarted but that was even worse - I just get the initial windows logo on start then a black screen!! So back to safe mode (after frantic F10 pushing!), disable card and I am back. I have also done several full virus scans. If I try to start eve I get a box with lots of horrible error messages.
Would appreciate links to different/newer drivers - I tried a link above but only got page not found.
Thanks

Anyone? There must be someone around here who understands computers! This is not just effecting Eve but everything I do on my computer! Could it be hardware, not software?
Please help!

I have similar issues on a Radeon x1950 ( with the latest graphics card drivers ).
Universe goes white sometimes, some images load with white backgrounds ( these stay white, guess that's a cache thing ), certain parts of ships go white.
This started happening when I began running 2 clients ( classic ).
This is highly gamebreaking as FPS plummets when the universe goes white, white image backgrounds are just insanely annoying, to the point were I might as well cancel the second account again *sighs*
