Thank you for everything that works in Trinity.
So many man-hours went into producing this, I'm sorry it has been stained by 5 minutes of shoddy work.
Please post in here your thanks to CCP. Plenty of other threads to whine in.
And don't flame me as a fanboi just because I don't use C:\ as my O/S drive...

i don't want to sign this, because this time it is NOT a great work, way too many serious issues that needs correcting and it is us the gamers that will be punished for their mistakes...
but i will not say "hate ccp" either, since they are trying the best they can, and sometimes it's good sometimes it's not that good.
the most important thing is that they clear up this mess and correct it

Just to put it in perspective, I work for a major cell phone company and a few years back one line of code on a patch took the whole city of Los Angeles out of service for 3 hours. Over ten people and multiple groups had reviewed that patch and something still got through.

The trinity expansion is awesome and I'm really happy that it's out on time and now working correctly despite hiccups.
I was one of the many people who had system trouble due to the boot.ini saga. I had to recover two machines as well as the box that runs my corp's Ventrilo.
Guess what? I'm not annoyed, I'm not irate... I'm not threatening to sue CCP, why?
They made a mistake. Humans make mistakes, it's inherent in our genetics. No one is perfect (apart from Scarlett Johansson but that's an entirely different story).
Cheers CCP, the work has paid off. Ignore the idiots who're throwing their toys out of the pram over something that is fixed easily in as little as ten minutes.
Eve is looking absolutely stunning, I can't wait for the rest of the graphical updates to make it complete. It's stable, faster, more shiny and runs a lot smoother.
Seriously, top job guys. Trinity kicks ass.

I will admit I got the boot.ini issue but it was not hard to fix. aside from that all is well.
I have been able to get all my clients running on one PC using premium graphics.

CCP gets our 'thanks' when we PAY THEM for the game. They deserve NOTHING more from us except complaints when the stuff we PAY FOR fails to work as intended.
The Trinity patch was a waste of time considering all the exisiting bugs, quirks and failings of this game which has been outstanding for multiple years. (And no doubt will continue to go unaddressed for many more)
What is happening to CCP is well deserved for YEARS of lacklustre & lazy programing. Poetic justice can be a a sour pill to swollow sometimes and I personally am reveling in CCP's international moment in the 'MMO hall of shame'.
It's about time the CCP got a reality check about how 'lacking' they actualy are with customer service, and game development. They finally screwed up so massively they couldn't ignore the issue, delay the fix or implement a quick and nasty solution.
I'll NEVER 'celebrate' what CCP has done right. I expect them to deliver what they said they would and error free 100% of the time. They can expect my and others complaints when they fail to meet those expectations because that is what MY money is worth to me.
Don't expect me to go all fan-boi and bow at the feet of a face-less corporate entitiy just because they provided me with something further to keep me interested for a couple more months. If they didn't I would have left a long time ago.
CCP is doing nothing more than their jobs... actually, just barely IMO. I think I stick around just for the comedy factor in watching them reach an epic level of fail alone.

So far, other than the unfortunately problem with the boot.ini thing that of course didn't affect me because I wasn't awake at that point and I now use Vista, things seem to have gone really well, and considering the scale of the patch they released I'm surprised there aren't more problems. Whines from people who never pay attention to things happening in upcoming patches on the other hand, seem to have gone up 
So, thanks CCP, for working hard to get this to us

Thank you CCP. I have played many mmo's and Eve has kept my attention, and even a year later there is still so much I have yet to do, see and try.
The new graphics look amazing! Even lowly haulers I can sit and stare at for quite a while!
Keep up the great work, and I can't wait to see the projects and new eye candy you have yet to show us

You obviously weren't given enough hugs by your parents. I do agree with the basic premise that we don't need to go around thanking CCP for the things they do right, however.
They have however, created a fantastic and unique game and I am personally very happy and impressed with the Trinity patch, and could care less about the 4am fubar. I hope it drives several thousand people as bitter and jaded as you, far, far away from this game so the rest of us who actually enjoy playing more than bashing CCP for every little mistake can resume our enjoyment of the game.

Thanks for proving my point.
CCP releases these patches/expansions to keep you around and paying your bill. Why do you feel the need to prattle on about the 'wonderous' nature of CCP when you "thank CCP" by paying your bill each month?
CCP couldn't care less about you or anyone else for that matter. They care about the money in your wallet and the ease it is to 'impress' simple minds with pretty pictures without substance.
