...like just as 2003 as it always has. Hell, even my drones are purty now :)
Did they forget to remodel POS elements?
Let me first say that, beyond stealth nerfing windows XP, I must congratulate CCP on their fine, fine, fine work. But it seems... incomplete... with POS bits and other items (asteroids even look as chunky as ever) the same as always; its just a little bitter sweet when you rush out to your pos to see how purty it looks now and it.... doesnt.
Ah well, I still have weeks of buying/building/admiring hulls to come....
One wonders if there is intention to add more remodelled content in the short term future or we wait another few years for the next graphics refresh?
Also, I accept that this is a little shallow given all the shiny, but you must agree that it *would* be nice if everything was given the brand new shiny....

Edited by: Dirk Magnum on 07/12/2007 00:21:28 POSs were considered non-essential, as were backgrounds. They will be upgraded in the next Trinity installment.

:) Figures, my poor hauler alt will have to stare at mediocre models as she does the grunt work... poor minmatar hauler alts never get any love. Even her mammoth is ugly with the new supersquare model.

Minmatar don't waste money and effort on bending metal ;) They take 6 Metal plates and weld them together and call it a cargo bay.

I <3 my shiney square blocky mammoth but I agree it could use just a tad less blocky on the nose.. And as has been previously stated all the other stuff is getting the DX9 treatment sometime next year..

Finally, a good joke on Minmatar ships that doesn't involve bubble gum, twine, or duct tape.

Except it no longer looks like you can dock your ships in the side opening :)

For the shiny new Trinity models, they had to upgrade to spot welding. I'm sure the arc welder was made with bailing wire, though.

Minmatar don't weld. They use special space duct tape. Not only is it sturdy. But, if you boil it, the tape makes a nice fibrous soup.
