Edited by: Macnabit on 07/12/2007 04:43:12 Right I get to the Splash screen and thats it, in my task manager the process EveFile.exe sits there with no CPU use but it is always 56,560 memory. I have reinstalled Eve, got the new full client for both Premium and Classic both have the same issue, its a shame because I have just forked out ú700 on this new PC but I get no action from it >_<
here is some info I gathered that maybe you guys can use
ps. I have looked through many other threads and tried quite a few of the "quick fixes" with no success so far. And I think all my drivers are up-to-date.
please help :(

*bump*
Also I have tried every combination now... got both the clients and the classic to premium patch.
All of which end up with the same result of being unable to get past the splash, I have noted that the eve.exe does run just as soon as the splash goes it does leaving behind the EveFiles.exe.

Try grabbing a new driver from http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_163.75.html.

I think I had the same problem and got it fixed today but check just to make sure: I launched EVE, trinity grahpic with vulture appeared, disappeared and no login window, however EVE still seems to be running in the task manager and I saw the EVE Online button in the task bar, but maximizing/minimizing it didnt show anything.
If that is your problem, this is how I fixed it: delete the CCP folder in C:\Documents and Settings\Tim de Pagter\Local Settings\Application Data (keep in mind you need to show hidden files in map options). Mind you that you will loose all your settings :(
Lemme know if that works for ya

Hey guys sorry I was playing Eve-Online and only just read your comments...
yes I found a way to FIX IT :D!!!!1
its some sorta server loading error, I fixed it by removing my ethernet cable, starting eve-online then when it gets past the splash screen and onto the login screen plug your ethernet cable back in and wallah it works.
bit of a fuss but atleast it works :)

Sig removed, lacks Eve-related content. If you would like further details please mail [email protected] - Cortes |
