I generally like Trinity and especially the new UI ..but I must admit that the Mammoth is a catastrophy :(
The front end looks like it was never finished :( ..it is just a square box!!
Come on give the minmatar hauler a bit of love and make it the old good looking rustheap!!
Check it out for yourselves.

wasn't the mammoth supposed to use the phoon model (and vice versa) but CCP switched them at the eleventh hour?

thts not only indy they changed my poor wreathe dont look like a train as much any more it isnt fair!! now it just has a hole in its nose and the rest is made out of lego blocks XD

Sorry for the bmp..it was taken directly from the Eve folder ..
About something wrong with my setup..please elaborate and explain how that could be fixed??
All other ships I have looks really nice, stations and gates excellent ..this is the only model that looks terrible.
If it was my setup that had any problems I would expect everything to look terrible.

I would have had a look and given an objective reply.
However your BMP file killed my PC and destroyed my OS.
Let me go and get someone to format my PC and charge me $200 and i'll send you the bill 
(P.s: I am joking, just getting into the flavour of the Eve forums atm )

Jesus, you're better off running the classic client than Trinity premium! Your gfx settings are horrid!
Upgrade your PC or go back to Classic gfx...

HostageTaker, that is exactly my point..it's horrid..but I fail to see it's my settings as everything else looks awesome
..my hurricane and my wolf are to die for...beauties ..that is why I reacted to the Mammoth as that are just graphics made in the last century .. and the gates looks awesome compared to before.

Have to agree with this. I really would go back to the classic graphics as well.
No antialiasing for one thing but that is livable.
However, your texture details are in the garbage. Just awful.
Here is a pic of a Mammoth with more detail in the model.

The problem with the model is that the rest of the ship has an angular grade to the top-center which gives a sleeker look, while the bridge is a box with flat top and the downgrade angles towards the nose. Even with the new textures the model still looks square compared to the rest of the ship and out of place. If they'd added the sideways grade as well it would have fit a lot better.

Here is how the Mammoth should look on your screen:
Mammoth-1 (almost the identical shot in the OP for comparison)

Unfortunately the shiny effects get lost in a JPEG but still the differences should be apparent (perhaps most easily noted by looking at the detail of the floor of the station).

Should see the prowler. Gone are the pretty spinning lights and the grid around the center core.... Now it is just empty. And frankly, ugly.

Minnie ships are supposed to look like that. Minmatar used any old junk they could get their hands on to build them.
