Why cant I remove locations anymore? For that matter, why did the folders I created to keep the old locations seperate from new ones disappear last night?
Personally, I think this should be an easy fix.
Anybody else having this problem?

Click the location so it's highlighted. Then right-click > remove.

You cleared your cache? Or the prefs.ini got blown away somewhere? BMs are server-side, folders client-side.

Yes I too am having this problem  - remove doesn't work for me Ralimenua though you may be on to something about the cache deletion as I did that post patch and maybe BMs created under the previous prefs cannot be removeable with the new. I would need to try removing a brand new BM to see if that worked ...
In any event the work round is to drag the BMs out to hold/hanger and round file them

As said in previous post... left click to highlight, right click then remove... works every time.

I had a chance to play round with this last session (in space and in station) and found you are quite correct and I was wrong - if you highlight the entry with left click first then the right click menu remove works - so thanks for sorting me out

And what about the number of jumps display in the p&p? Last time it was remove from the bookmark to be display on mouse over only and now it's gone!
Was i the only one using this feature?

- Totaly agree with you ... may be someone has an idea how to identify the jump number from present location to a place related to one bookmark ?
- The jump column was terribly usefull .. Can not understand that ccp removed this function for the boring mouse option ... may be to many people complain so CCP punish them by removing everything ... if you want to know the jump distance from your bookmark .. go and check the map .... I apologize for this bad mood bu I feel boring of all this modification which make no real sens !!
