... So anyone know why CCP gave the Eos 3 heavies and the Ishtar 5? Heavy Assualt > Commands now?

It's supposed to be fitted with gang mods and be a fleet support ship, and now it is.

And maybe the Eos had a poor tank compared to the other fleet commands, and a bonus to the least desirable gang links out there (which one of those gang links has been diluted in effectiveness to boot in Trinity)?
That's why Eos pilots complain-it's not necessarily that their solo OMGWTFPWN-mobile got taken away, it's because it was never raised up to the bar of the other fleet commands to compensate for it.

Doesn't the, "my gang mods suck," argument kind of equal the, "my lasers suck," argument in terms of planning? It is not like training information warfare related skills for two months doesn't imply that the pilot will, in fact, be using information warfare mods.
Besides, in the last two months it has more or less been crying that their OMGWTFPWN w/cheese sandwiches have gotten taken away. However, I have seen some (very few) crying about thier gang mods as opposed to the loss of heavy drones. Perhaps if they would have bothered to fit the gang mods over the last year (instead of nos, etc) they would have known (on a broader scale, see: kiddies flying ship only for drone ownage) that the gang mods are not the most desirable, and the ships primary role is 4th place due to this. Not worth training for if intended to be used in their role (see: gang boosting).
That may be hard to follow, or sound condescending. It's not suppose to be.

Yah, but if you're primarily using siege/armored/skirmish links, why train for the Eos when a Vulture/Damnation/Claymore will do it better?
The Eos's loss of 2 turrets and heavies really gimped its DPS, which was the only thing it had over the other fleet commands.

Hardly - The bonuses they get for their individual gang links may be useful, but doesnt stop you fitting others. The Eos still kicks ass, for the fact that it can still use 3 sentry drones (if im correct), and can easily for one of the best tanks you possibly can get. Heck, from what ive seen so far, it rivals the vulture. And lets face it, the vulture doesnt do much more than tank.
So yes, you still have a damn good advantage.
And just to reitterate Rawior....Eos is a FLEET commandship. They SHOULD do the dps of vulture, damnation, and claymore. With 5 heavies, and all its turrets, it outdamaged its FIELD command variation. Thats not balanced in any form, and thus was destined for a nerf. Just because it fields drones, doesnt mean it has to be better than the ishtar ya know...
