So for the last 3 days i've been trying to get in to Jita, at various times of the day and night.
I go in to "jumping", and then nothing.
Eventually the game exits. When I startup I get to the "Entering game" part, and then ... nothing.
I've filed stuck petitions, I've tried multiple characters on multiple accounts - the same happens.
What is happening?

Well, I've filed a new stuck petition, this time for two characters, and I've asked WHY this is happening every day, on different accounts/characters.

I have the same Problem. And since i am close to Jita, i have to fly through that system a lot. Ever since Trinity I and a friend of mine, cant get through Jita without troubla anymore. It wasnt that bad the last few month, as it is now, not even in prime times.

I have excperinced the same thing on several occassions this week.
Yes it's fine to post stay out of Jita and I'm sure most of us do whenever possible. Unfortunatly because of the hub that is jita, it is often a necessary evil to enter.
Surley there must be a way to reduce the lag in this system.
Many sound idea have been put across on the subject.
Why not remove all the agents from jita, why not remove all the stations bar 4/4 and merge them into one super station.
How about making jita one big station or create a ring road of systems around jita so its pobbible to completly avoid entering ?? All simple ideas yet they seem to be ignored patch after patch.
Surley the time has come to adress the Jita issue.

Jita as a system is pointless now. CCP need to change things to address the lag issues that continue to cripple game-play. Here are just four ideas that would improve things:
1) Allow players to jump straight into the trade hub, and straight back out again from the hub into a neighbouring system. This would avoid all the undocking, disentangling your ship from the pile-up, aligning for warp and waiting to jump back out again... all of those activities just waste players time and add to the lag.
2) Put a limit on the number of players allowed into Jita, and a time limit on how long you can stay there. If you overstay the time limit, or log off whilst in the system, you are transferred to a nieghbouring system and go to the back of the queue.
3) Reduce the number of orders and contracts that can be set up in any one system, forcing the trade to become more spread out.
4) Allow goods to be transferred to and from neighbouring systems to the Jita hub, without players having to go there themselves. After all, buying goods via the internet isn't new! The Interbus can earn their keep running the delivery service!
Whatever, surely it only takes a little imagination?

Yeah it's been acting up a lot. Getting in there anywhere near peak hours on week days (not even weekends) has been impossible. Getting in there about 2-3 hours before downtime - also impossible. Various intermittent lag spikes during the day *sigh* I'm going to try going there after downtime if all else fails ...

Why did i just log off while in jita.....
Stuck there too.
First i had to setup my whole system because of the patch, now i cannot log on my main character.
If CCP told me that before i would have been happy to cancel my subscription before all this mess....

I just put my sell orders up in New Caldari, they sell just as well as those in Jita 
Buying is a bit painful, but if you buy before you enter, you spend minimum time there.

yeah we all know jita is bad, m'kay dont go there... right...
now without even trying to discuss any pros and cons of jita as the super trade hub... wtf is going on... i mean lag is bad m'kay, 5s delay, bad, 1sec delay bad, 1min day horrible... but it still beats the 90 ******* minutes ive been trying to log on again after "crashing" in a jump...
i mean c'mon... screw lag, i can deal... not booting up at all...helloooo... thats actually gamebreaking

They need to disallow people to log their characters into that solar system. If you log off then you should log back on at a random system nearby. No more trade-alts in Jita lagging the crap out of everything.

ive just logged my 4007 alts into jita, anyone who wants stuff from here must send me a 1 million isk premium, for each premium i recieve i will log out one alt, once enoguh people have paid you will be re-allowed access

What about the chars wich are docked at jitta and cant log on now, yes.. it says Stay off of Jitta, but what about if we cant log on to get away from there...?

Last I heard, Jita has an entire server node dedicated to it. Most nodes handle several systems. Even if there were an even more powerful server available to run Jita on, the fricken lemmings/Jitards/'smart buyers' would keep cramming themselves in until Jita lagged to death once more.
Jita is a known issue. If you know about the lag-fest and still go there.... You were warned, you did it anyway, no sympathy here.

The Problem with Jita wasnt that big bevor Trinity. Shure i was laggy as hell, you had to wait a lot bevor being able to log into Jita. And i try to avoid Jita whenever possible, but my R6G agents are "behind" Jita. Bevro Trinty it took time to go through Jita, but now i have been through Jita since Trinty 4 times, and everytime i was unable to complete my jumps out or into Jita without trying to login multiple times. wich sometimes took 2 hrs to finally be able to leave Jita. It is low more laggy with 400 in it, than it was with 800 bevor.

Ther are some Systemy that are only reachable by Jita (marausi, Itamo and a few more). If they would add a way to reach those without flying through Jita, i would glady take i, but since ther is none, i have to get through there to reach my R&D agents in Itamo. I dont want to go through Jita, but i am forced to.

Also tried to gate jump* to Jita 30 minutes before downtime, now im stuck in a black hole while nothing is training atm. Goddam Jita! hopefully just after dt i can log in and get the hell out of there.

It has happened to me once before DT, but not otherwise... maybe the issue is related to the Trinity boom, but not Trinity itself? With the release of the new ships, soandso many players are 'camping' in Jita to try and get maximum profit out of Trinity content while it is still new and shiny and prices are skyrocketing. More than there were before the content patch.
I'd say it will likely solve itself and get better once all those crazy Trinity daytraders can't get filthy rich overnight by sitting in Jita 23/7 anymore.

The reason Jita is the way it is right now is because of the new ships. People are expecting to go to Jita to get them because they are assuming that is where they will first appear on the market, which is of course pretty much a sure bet. I am sure it will "settle" down some once the new ships are being sold somewhere else and the demand in Jita subsides some.

When that happend in wow they would give me an extra day.
They are stealing money people, maybe you guys got enough ISK to buy more time.
I dont.
And when they updated to trinity, they didnt give me an extra day. They should do that, I never asked for the upgrade.
Thats 2 days I want back!!!

You can't just upgrade the server. The massive amount of players causes the server load to increase exponentially. Secondly, the solution cannot be specific to Jita, because people will just find a new place as their trade hub, e.g. New Caldari or Niyabainen.
