Edited by: Lord Evangelian on 08/12/2007 13:44:10 First Blood: [LEAPC] Vs [SNLY]
I would like to take this moment to congratulate [SNLY] for first blood in our war. That battle lasted for 50 Minuets between my self and 7 [SNLY] pilots. My wingman joined the fight for 15 mins at the end while I was in structure, but a short while later we lost. I think he also deserves respect as even though the odds were not in our favor he still jumped 6 jumps to help.
I lost my Hyperion. It was a good ship that had a service of 4 months with out loosing a fight, but as all good things do, it came to an abrupt end at the hands of a skilful enemy fleet.
[SNLY] good fight, le.

It was a good ship indeed, obviously built by a skilled engineer and flown by an equally skilled pilot. And props to your wingman, not many would have the guts to plunge headfirst into such a fight. --- If it floats, and it doesn't say 'quack', sink it! |

Hehe, yeah, it was. Some of the newer members got inspired by that battle in Ours, they know now what an FC is for
Good fight on the Ours gate later on, Tristan, Taranis and Thorax in exchange for a Vexor and another Hyperion is a swap I gladly make any day

I would like to congratulate all of the pilots who participated in the first battle at Renyn IX yesterday at around 4pm.
The LEAP fleet was outnumbered and outgunned at many points during the battle, but with disciplined, skilled and couragous pilots managed to turn the tide. SNLY fought very well and used their EW ships to great ends.
A total of 2 LEAP frigates were lost, against 5 enemy ships comprising of various assortments including cruisers, destroyers, frigates and various EW and stealth ships. A single SNLY pilot was podded.
Dispite being at a technological disadvantage, LEAP worked around this, together, as a well organised force and managed to disable or destory the attacking ships. The rest of the SNLY pilots remained docked, or fled the battle.
A smaller, more organised, more disciplined LEAP force beat off the numbers and technological advantage of SNLY. This goes to show, the despite LEAP not having a numerical advantage a handful of ships when commanded and piloted well can sweep aside a larger and more advanced force.
As for the poor retreiver pilot, he was AFK mining during a wartime situation - lesson learned. I won't say "Shame on you", because I would have done exactly the same thing
Once again, my best and congrats to all involved. Very well fought and sans smack to boot. --- ~Precurseur~ One that precedes and indicates, suggests, or announces someone or something to come..

It actually has nothing to do with piracy, but then again that's not a requirement for this particular thread. Allow me to refresh your memory with a link to the sticky "Read before posting" note Sticky: Read before posting
I believe there is also a piracy related thread here

Actually, the reports of this war do fit in this forum, since a part of LEAP Corp are empire pirates (better known as 'can flippers'). Shaolin Legacy has been punishing that part of LEAP for a while now, for their crimes. Hence, fits perfectly in Crime & Punishment.
Anyways, anomisity between the corporations has in the end reached a point where full out war was declared by LEAP. --- If it floats, and it doesn't say 'quack', sink it! |

Another day, another LEAP operation in full force.
The battles this time spread across 3 systems, as opposed to contained in a single one as before.
The continued destruction of the SNLY pilots continued today, with them losing 2 battlecruisers, 3 cruisers, 1 mining barge (a barge for a barge after all is fair) and the podding of another of their pilots in exchange for the loss of 2 LEAP cruisers.
A good result for LEAP. After the main battle this evening taking place in Renyn and the destruction of a senior SNLY member and his pod the rest of the pilots appeared reluctant to continue further engagements - who can blame them?
A total of 7 casualties, across 3 systems clearly indicates LEAP are on top and there is no place to hide. The engagements only recently coming into full swing, with more on their way we can expect to see further victories for LEAP and the continued destruction of the enemy.
I once again offer my congratulations to all pilots involved, we're seen some good fights and tactics recently. Further updates as they come.

Total LEAP losses: 8 Total SNLY losses: 22
Allbeit nicely written, I see some corrective statements are in order here. First of all, let me be clear, no senior members have been podkilled on the side of Shaolin yet. Even shiplosses amongst our senior members are very light, with only two having been shot down so far (being one Vexor and one Nemesis). This is something that definitely can't be said about the LEAP forces, whoms directors have suffered heavy losses so far on the hands of Shaolin forces.
When it comes to actual losses, a more accurate count shows:
LEAP: 15 ships lost, totalling 323 million isk SNLY: 20 ships lost, totalling 140 million isk
In the light of these facts, one can obviously state that LEAP forces are sustaining heavy casualties, in order to obtain only meager results. --- If it floats, and it doesn't say 'quack', sink it! |

I'm quite uncertain where you have obtained your statistics from, but I know for a fact ours are logged correctly and can say for certain that you have lost more than 20, and ourselves less than your stated 15 (give or take, there are bound to be some inaccuracies).
It has been known for opposing sides to "massage" the figures from time to time for propaganda purposes, however LEAP has no need to do so, because at every battle we take minimal casulaties in exchange for many times more. The most recent being 2 for 5, and 2 for 7.
However I must compliment you on your post - and the previous ones at that. They are very lifting and will inspire confidence in your members, obviously they are designed to do so, along with your promotional video.
However, no amount of gloss can hide the bare fact of the most recent battles;
Many SNLY ships destroyed for a couple of LEAP ships. Many SNLY members remaining in dock. Many SNLY ships fleeing the battlefield during mid battle. Smaller LEAP fleets able to destroy or rout larger SNLY counterparts.
I also note your comment that senior SNLY members have suffered light losses. I personally haven't seen a great deal of them around. It would appear the junior members are left to face the wrath alone. The LEAP directors have stood with their members, and engaged directly in battle.
I'm sure we will see this trend continue.
GL to all.
