ATI?
delete Eve fully from your drive.
Delete all traces of your vid card driver.
Install the lastest Nov Drivers
Install premium graphic version.
Pray it works.

Thanks bud, Yep: Radeon x1300
Really, do I need to rely on the praying bit? I can stay on just long enough to change a skill, in a station that sells skill books - lol.
Just think this time next year I could be well qualified

I had this problem more often before Trinity with my x1300, but I do still get it occasionally. I'll give those November drivers a shot. Didn't know I didn't have the latest.

I've had it numerous times since trinity... Seems to happen more when the game has to use alot of RAM(ram settings to extreme and a lot of model caching like loading jita 4-4 outside), and running 2 accounts seems to get it to happen too.. thought I was the only one that had it
and btw, I'm running a Sapphire X1900 XT if that helps... seems to be only ati that's got the issue.

Edited by: Okapir on 08/12/2007 20:52:33 If anyone has a link to the Novemeber upgrades, I'd be eternally grateful, I've been using catalyst for some time now!

Thanks Schrud, I have tried the reload of everything again to no avail...
I've tried alot of other things too, when the last big patch came through, I couldn't understand what all the fuss was about, now I do!
Anyone got any other ideas that might help an ATI/CCP victim?

I wish I could say why Eve is working for me now but the BSoDs destabilized my OS before I could figure the problem out.
My exact steps to get Eve to work
Reformat OS drive. Load XP Pro, update fully to SP2 and install all critical and non-driver updates. I had .Net 1.0 updated all the way up to 3.x, I think this part of the issue I tried out Omega Drivers but as last time I had a generally poor result Eve would not load but there were no BSoD. Uninstalled Omega Drivers completely loaded the latest Nov full CCC option. Eve Worked...me goes yay but is still miffed and confused.

Many, many thanks Velora, you have offered so much more support than CCP which is surprising! I'm paying them and not you Still no result, not sure about the way forward, perhaps if I wait long enough something will change/happen/improve?

If this is anything like the ati cards (plural) I've had, the ram on them is being run too fast. Either it's pre-overclocked (with all the instability that implies) or it's cheap crap, or it's just not cooled properly. Try downloading ati-tool and doing its graphics test. Not the auto-overclock thing, just the test. If you get glitches, lower your gfx ram speed slightly with it (not much, maybe 5% should do), and the glitches should hopefully go away.
If that does work, your card is technically faulty. nullnull |

my oldie but goldie card radeon 9800 kept doing that every once in a while, the problem was overheating, so try cooling it down and doing what the guy above me said |
