Hi
I having some problems connecting to TQ. When I start EVE and the game tries to check the status of the server I almost always get "Status: unkown" and I'm unable to connect, the few times I am able to connect I get disconnected after a few seconds.
I don't use a firewall, I've tried changing the ports in prefs.ini, and I don't have any problems playing other games like WoW or LOTRO.
Any ideas or suggestions?

I'm having this same problem, although I haven't ever seen it saying anything but "Status: Unknown". A little help would be appreciated.

Gettining the status unknown problem as well. Tried the advancednetwork=1 proposed fix but didn't do anything.
Anyone have a clue?

Same problem here. All I get is the message: " Could not connect to the specified address. Odds are that you have not established an internet connection, the server isn't running, or the server address or port number was wrong." -All of those are fine, but the server status remains unknown.

Question: Are any of you having any anti-virus trouble? My anti-virus has stopped coming up, and I'm wondering if it's not the client and just a virus...

Got the same problem - becoming a real drag, and the only thing left to try is a swift kick to my motherboard.

Lol - you mean a virus that appeared after I downloaded the new client

Well, not exactly. Anyway, I just found the problem(on my computer at least). Norton Antivirus, which is what I use, bugged out and seemed to be blocking all or most programs trying to connect to the internet. I uninstalled Norton and everything is fixed and working properly.
