Hello, Does anyone have constant crashes with new graphic content enabled? I have GF 8800GTS, newest drivers, every game runs ok but since patch i cant play EVE because i keep crashing mostly when im exiting warp. blue.dll is showed in exception window as involved dll. Ive asked in game and other guy with gf 8800 gts has same problem. When i switch off premium content then everything is ok. My system is clean, gfx is not overcloked, everything is stable. Ive missed already 5 kills because of that s***.
So does anyone have similar problem?

Occurs with cache both enabled and disabled, seems to me it is memory related though.

Ok, countless crashes now and the game has become unplayable. not impressed :(
Can someone from CCP at least confirm they are seeing the issue here? I don't mind waiting if there is a fix coming up or they are at least looking at the issue :)
Good luck with the trinity fixes CCP, its been a lot of work I just wish I could play at the moment :(

I have also been experiencing random crashes and lockups. Running the logserver isn't helping because when it crashes, it crashes the whole computer and when it locks up, nothing abnormal can be seen in the logserver screen.
CPU: Intel E6600 on nforce 680i chipset RAM: 2GB GFX: 8800GTS 640mb ram
I was running the nvidia beta drivers because of Crysis. Rolling back the drivers to the current WHQL (non-beta) drivers version 163.75 seems to have helped some. Now it only crashes occasionally as opposed to all the time.

A Google search reveals a lot of peeps are having problems with the 8800GTS card and most responses point towards power supplies.
The general consensus seems to be that you need at least a decent 650W power supply when using one of these cards.

I have noticed that I tend to crash when initiating warp or when I'm about to jump or have just jumped.

Nvidia 8800GTS here, nvidia 680i motherboard, latest drivers, XP, 850 watt power supply. EVE crashes frequently running two clients, estimate about 15 minutes between crashes on average.
Crash is triggered by moving ore into or out of a jet can.

GeForce 7300 LE crashed after the graphics update:
Faulting application exefile.exe, version 4.10.0.44942, faulting module blue.dll, version 4.10.0.44942
Happens when I open the map and pretty much just randomly. I can't do anything and this is a 14 day trial. At least it wasn't the boot.ini issue, I guess.

Possibly related. I run dual 6800GT cards, and with the premium content I get lockups. The first time this happened, after rebooting the nVidia driver popped up a message saying the cards weren't getting enough power. I have a decent quality 480W PSU but I think the new content must really be stressing things.
I'm running on classic graphics perfectly stable, so I may try getting a 600W+ PSU and try it again. |

I wonder those of you who are having issues if your clients were patched. Anyone having issues with clean installs?
I wouldnt touch your drivers unless other games crash (thats not to say they arent the cause but if they worked with the old client then keep it simple).
First clean out EVE and all related folders. Reboot. Reinstall and run it without sound and low effects for about an hour. If its stable increase settings.
If it isnt stable, then look at your system. What have you installed recently? Anything change in last few days?
Another good thing is to run your game in Window mode and note your CPU/Memory load. Download pslist from MS and check out processes running in memory. Anything out of the ordinary.
I have been running tests all week long on crappy XP and Vista systems and was comparing performance. I have yet to see EVE blue screen either machine so I suspect you guys are having real issues. Its possible that drivers are causing an issue but try the clean options first and debug from there.
Good luck.

My installation was patched. Running on an extremely stable machine. No new software before patching eve. CPU usage low. I update drivers quite often and roll back if I see issues.
I have debated on doing a clean eve install. I'm sure more people are having the issue that don't post here or even read the forums.
It may sound funny but I only seem to crash and get the .exe error when I'm around a gate. Who knows.......

Maybe CCP nerfed gate campers kidding...
Try to clearing out your cache? Clean install is the best option and really only takes a few minutes and a couple of beeers. Besides if you petition or bug report they will likely tell you to clear cache.
Other option is we trade PCs, I have been itching to get my hands on a nice PC so my fps wouldnt suck so bad.... S&M |

Also getting this issue - has happened 3 or 4 times a day since patch.
System is running an e6600 with 4Gb interleaved dual-channel (not fully addressed as it's 32-bit XP SP2), 8800GTX, X-Fi sound card and powerered by a pretty reliable/efficient Seasonic 600w PSU. Both CPU and GPU are water-cooled and under-load temps are a lower than normal operating temps. The cache is sitting on a WD Raptor (just defragged) and I've tried Cache size settings of Normal, High and Extreme. I am now running sans-HDR to see if that makes any difference.
In addition to the crashes, I'd had a few moments where the whole PC simply froze for a good 20 - 30 secs before continuing. This setup has been running since Feb with no other issues.
I find the crashes mostly happen when either i come out of warp and the docking request is accepted (but before the ship docks as I'm still in space when I log back in) or when I arrive at a gate and right-click to jump. It reminds me of an old issue on a different system with one of the old clients where warping to certain stations/stargates would cause the client to drop.

Yeah I see the crash mostly when jumping. I just updated drivers to 169.21. Crossing fingers.

I run 2 accounts on separate machines. One has a GeForce 7900 and uses the premium graphics, the other has an ATI X800 and runs the classic graphics. Both machines have been randomly crashing since the update and like others have mentioned, usually when docking/undocking, entering/leaving warp and using jump gates.
Both machines have had a clean Eve install rather than patching. I don't think this is related to graphics, it looks more a session change issue to me. |

I would also suggest - disable sound from within the game and see if you get crashes still - this will eliminate SFX problems then you can see if it is the GFX instead. -- BIG Lottery, BIG Deal, InEve [Now Verified] & Recruiting

Try opening the framerate display (ctrl f) after jumping through a gate.
Then initiate warp (if you don't crash) do you get an immediate drop in framerate, even before your ship starts warp or any of the warping sounds/gfx appear?
My PC drops the framerate around 40% immediately the warp button is pressed, even when my Amarr Transport takes anouther 20s to align and start warp!
I'm using an ATI card with this problem, but I'll check my PC with 8800GTS later tonight for the same issue.
