Pretty much what Orar said if you want to kill a bunch of the hauler/missioners. Gotta spice it up a bit though, shooting those haulers all day makes for lots of killmails, hardly any profit and... extreme boredom
But it is nice to see people doing it ____________________ Hi. I'm not an alt :)

as stated above, macrointel would be the chat to goto, and to find them, any system with an ice belt pretty much. Osmon has a slew of them, even though a certain company wont pay attention to petitions about them. I won't mention any names due to my cold <cough><cough>CCP<cough>.
Goto the ice fields in Osmon system and look for the convoys of Mackinaws going back and forth 23/7 -Cheevs |

+100 in Ingunn, all farmers . I would like to join any farmer-hunters, have a hyp and plenty of isk to blow. Could also use some advice for a fitting setup.

In and around the Mamet system. There is some speculation that TRI is either running those macros or are protecting them so watch your back. But you can easily kill 10-20 and hour of them.

Yeah you will know what corps protect said macro's since they are showing up about 20~40 minutes after you start popping them. Then set them to negative and when they come into station high tail it to a safe spot and hide out until they get bored and leave.
I've seen a lot of corps jump in and protect these macroers so just watch you back but it's good fun...

Tbh I dont think there are many corps protecting macroers... People just scream "macro protector!!!!" the second they get attacked while killing farmers. You are not holy when you kill farmers, you do a service to the community, but it doesnt take you off the risk that undocking is in EVE.
When I gank farmers I have scanner on and expect to be attacked by players. Just like when I roam and see a BS agressed at a station or gate I call in my gangm for the kill. Does that make me a farmer protector? I would say no as I could just as well be sitting in a safespot and probing for a mission farmer 5 nmin later.
Kiling farmers can be fun and even profirable, but I would always go for a real kill rather than a farmer in a hauler.
And my opinion on Tri would be that I do not believe they protect the farmers, I belive they see a chance for a kill and take it.

Speaking of which. Are you really doing a service to the community when killing macroers? Does it actually hurt them or is it just a minor annoyance, if that?
After insurance the isk loss must be rather tiny for someone who is a proffessional iskfarmer. The isk they don't farm while getting a new set of ships is probably the biggest loss they suffer.
Not trying to flame or argue, I am all for heaping steamy manure all over macrofarmers, but I'm wondering if killing them really does any good (beyond making the rest of us feel better).

I am in ingunn nightly, and i never see anyone mining at the belts, am i missing something here? I always see like 90 in local, but i generally assume after some scanning that they are passing through or docked

Edited by: Ard UnjiiGo on 18/12/2007 23:49:46 Slurricane - Just sit outside one of the stations there with a ship(s) that can tank the guns and you will quickly have a difficult time moving around for all the wrecks. I suggest bringing someone that can check the wrecks because sometimes there are a few decent things like mission reward implants and cargohold expander IIs among all the dolls and garbage. And like others have said - watch your back. You likely won't get a 'free ride' for popping macroers.
Steyr - Not sure how much it sets them back but I would think the time lost to them in refitting is probably more of an expense since they are paying these folks something like 25 cents/hour.

(yes posting with alt)
I have kill'd in and around ingunn approx 200+ farmers in few hours solo, i have found the best way to hinder their opperations is....
Kill ship (cost to replace) pop wreck (no mission item to recover / salvage as they do) DO NOT pod (you pod them to home station and speed it up for them)
they loose small isk in ship, norm the pod stays there for 5 min till they notice, then they have travel to home system, either find mission object or turn mission in.
although this is not a big hinderance to them and imho the ppl that kill farmers are makeing more farmers although not directly and prob not even realize it.
you kill 1 farmer enough times it affects his income, means he makes another farmer to catch up, this is why in a matter of months farmers have grown in ingunn from 20-30 to 100-130+
