I want to purchase SB for PC. Currently I'm using onboard one on IP35 mbo, and game sounds are sometimes choppy. Can you suggest proven cards which does not crash PC? My main demand is stability with EVE, because other games come and go, but EVE stays :) Not too expensive ofcourse, I don't need professional options, just stability and clear ingame sounds :) On my last PC, I had CREATIVE LABS X-Fi Xtreme Audio, but that card was BSOD-ing my PC on random basis. --

I'm using a 'standard' Creative Audigy 2 ZS, that newer creative type should work well too.
Also, I don't get a decrease in fps when I have sound on.

Only reason to use sound in EVE is for teamspeak/ventrillo IMO. Therefore any cheapo soundcard will do really :) ________________________________________________________________

I think Eve sound is a bit buggy at the best of times, but I have a creative x-fi fatality card, I also have a extreme gamer (normal one) neither give completely perfect sound in Eve, be it explosions or sometimes coming out of warp. Now I would say stay well away from creative as I have problems with them in another game. Generally the card is good but when you pay that much there should never be any *****le or sound distortion. Some people say the card works perfect in there systems but you already know how problematic creative can be ;) Some people use usb headsets, these have there own sound cards, there is an asus sound card but I have no experience of other sound cards.
