Must be a fake. Pens died out years ago.

Pilot G2's are epic crap. I have one of those Dr. Grip gel pens and I've gone through oodles of G2 rollerball refills. I'm a cashier and apparently the paper the receipts are printed on clog the thing. Cheaper ball point pens seem immune, though. I'm investing in some Fisher pressurized cartridges to see how they compare.

Hillarious review. That being said, I have to get this off my chest...
Why do English speakers insist on calling a "ballpoint pen" a... well... "pen" ? Over here in Romania, we have a word for it, and it's "pix". But yeah, pens (true pens, not ballpoint pens) kinda' died out slowly. I personally prefer gel ink ballpoint pens, which are ALMOST like pens (in that you don't need to press them to the paper like regular ballpoint pens), and pencils (the 0.5 mm HB ones, with a soft core). I hate regular ballpoint pens almost as much as I hate old-fashion pens.

We call them pens because no-one really uses fountain pens anymore except old people and poets (damn hippies). --------

A pen is a pen, the prefix of "ballpoint-" or "inkwell-" is merely a descriptor, where as the object in question is described by the noun "pen". Technically speaking, one could take a lump of charcoal out of a fire and start drawing with it, and it would be as much a pencil as that wooden pencil on your desk.
Perhaps its a matter of equivalents between English and Romanian (not sure if thats the name of the written/spoken language of the Romania), but English has a habit of simply adopting namesakes for objects that in retrospect make no sense whatsoever. Anyone whose in a trade can understand what I'm talking about, the degree of coinage and nicknaming of components and styles is a little of out control. I'd give an example, but I think it would be too specific for many of the OOPE forum go'ers to understand clearly.

I reply in a manner best fitting to rouse certain individuals. In their absence, I'm left going back into neutral so-to-speak in my posting style. Not nearly as fun, sans mind****.
