Increasing the volume for some modules while leaving the rest at the old size is one of the most ugly fix I have ever so. If it was my game I would have done this:
1. Make the volume for all the modules proportional to the material volume. 2. Supposing you don't want to nerf looting, I would have made the loot drop in a special packed mode, that has less volume then the normal packed.
If you want to nerf looting, why not decrease the drop rate? What's the point in havening a tone of loot if you can't transport it?

Looting wasnt the whole issue sir. Building 1500 passive targeter I's and reprocessing them was an issue. You could move a lot more trin that way than if you actually moved the minerals - now you cannot.
I do however agree with you, this was a bloody lame way to solve it if it actually needed to be solved that is.

That's a fair nerf, but make all the modules obey the same rules. Named modules shouldn't magically compress minerals (you can't produce the, but you can reprocess them, so they are also made of minerals). And don't nerf looting, make loot drop in a compressed state, until you do something with it.

Meh I dunno. You just have to think of ppl living of piracy aswell. Shooting ppl with expensive named gear is part of it. If those named guns takes 100m3 each I wont make a living nomore.

Yes, as I said, if they don't want to nerf the loot, they should make it so dropped loot (from players or NPCs) is in a special loot packed mode. Something you can can't be obtain in any other way then from looting.
This way all modules volume behaves rationally, no more compression, and you can actually loot more then 1 BS wreck at a time.

Capital mods have all been upped to 4000m3, thats 4 times what they were before. this makes it impossible to carry different modules to change when needed. My carrier setup changes regularly to suit my needs but not anymore :/
Agreed the mineral volume is still over 4000m3 but its a pain in the arse, you cant even put 1 capital mod in a carriers cargo hold any more.
Grrr.
