I got a 14 day trial so I could post this here. I am trying to reactivate my account after being inactive for almost a year. After I enter my CC info and go to the next page and click Confirm I get sent to another page with "ERROR: Not authorised" in big red letters at the top of the page. When this happens the CC info summary changes from MC **(last 4 digits) to VISA **. I do not know what I am doing wrong and the error really does not tell me. I use this same CC to subscribe to other games. I have tried entering my street address and Apt# in different formats but no success.

I'm not sure whether this information will be helpful to you but I just recently found out a really silly thing about CCP's billing system.
Apparently, you CANNOT use a - in your address. First time I ever saw a billing system which doesn't allow the use of dash in the address field!
The day that EVE is truly bug-free, the EVE Gate will probably go super nova and kill us all. |

Wow sdchew that is odd. I'm gona keep at trying different ways to enter my info. I did make a petition but I have no idea what the turnaround on it will be.

You are not alone  Been trying to reactivate 2 of my accounts over the past weekend with no luck.
Used CC and Direct Debit.

I'm glad I'm not alone. I got a busy next 2 days of work so I hope I will have a responce from a Dev/GM/ISD by then either here or from my petition.
What is the turnaround for petitions these days?

It's been at least 24 hrs since the last reply so I am bumping this. Please, someone in power care to respond? ISD? Dev? GM? Mod? I have not gotten a response from my petition I submitted 2 days ago either.

Hope you get a reply from Dev,Gm, ect maybe get from from forum mod if your lucky, doubt you will tho customer service's is'nt there top proirity when they still get there money from everyone else who paying for a bugged game (mugs like me)

I got a quick question. I had the idea that if I bought a GTC from EvE store (assuming they accept mu CC that way) I could use that to reactivate my account.
My question is: Is the GTC a "virtual card" or a "real card"? Basically, do they physically ship you a card that you then can use to subscribe or do they E-mail you the card number that you then can use?

Its virtual, not sure how its done have never paid for EvE that way

Oh, I see they "didn't fix it anyway"...
Had same problem 2 month ago. Petition was active for month. First it was billing problems, then (after month of slow ping pong) some GM told me everything working absolutly fine and there is no problem with their billing whatsever "please use another payment options".
My bank said it was their fault, becuse they eat CVC2 code on the way to VISA somewhere - so that's VISA system says "NOT AUTHORISED". Don't know where and who eat it. After whole month of lost training and general "it's not our fault" attitude I stoped caring and switched to ETC.

Ouch Rin. That cant be my proublem because I just ordered a new computer from newegg with the same CC so it is CCP's system NOT my CC (glad too). I'm going to try the GTC route. I just got one more question about the GTC, in the EvE store I only see the 50 and 100 day cards, where are the 30 and 90 day cards I see being sold for ISK so often?

Found the problem:
The problem is tied to your bank not your card. After speeking to my VISA dep at my bank, as well as the national loss prevention agency for Credit Unions.
The error Im geting is. www.eve-online.com has been auto blocked due to being an international purchase in a high risk company. Eve-Online is not using zipcode varification and needs to update its payment systems to the newest standard.
Please note, there is no work around for this issue on the customer side, my bank will not allow temporary access to the specific payment processer for credit card transactions as per the national credit card agency for credit unions. Additionally I've been blocked for possable frad (and had to call my bank on this) because I tryed to run the card several times.

Thanks for the info Nir Ice. I'll give my bank a call tommrow to make sure I did not get blocked for fraud. What do they mean by "high risk company"? It looks to me that CCP is doing.

You can still buy through shatteredcrystal, since their payment methods are up to scratch, then apply the GTC to your account that way.
Silly that you have to go to that length, but it does work. |

I got my main activated but I can not activate my alt. GM Thunder sent me this in responce to my petition: "Hi.
We apologize for the delay in getting back to you.
We've made some adjustments and your payment should go through now. Please try again and let us know if it's still not working. We'll do all we can to help.
Best regards, GM Thunder The EVE Online Customer Support Team" -------------------------------------------------- EvE is a sand box. Build a sand castle and beg someone to come destroy it just so you can have the fun of building it up again.

I am also have the same issue, with either debit or credit. Guess i have to order a gtc and wait for it to be snail mailed to me, since i live in japan now /sigh.
