Is it possible to repair standings with the various pirate factions, or once you have gone in bad favor with them is that it?

Yeap you are doomed to be a law obeying citizen if after level 5 skills that help negative standings or criminal factions you are still below -2.

sorry untrue u can raise your standing. but u need help. another player who missions for the corp u want to work withh will have to gang with you and, turn the mission in with the gang option.very likely u will have to pay him/her for this service. to that end i would like some one to help me with thge blood raiders

If your faction standing is below -2.00 you will have to raise it before you can run missions for any corp in that faction. You can do this through diplomacy or by running storyline missions for a friendly faction. You cannot share any standing from storyline missions, so being part of a gang will not help you raise faction standing. There are three pirate factions that are only friendly with each other, so if you get all three factions below -2.00 after taking diplomacy V into account you are screwed if you want to run missions for them.

If this is for Angels or Serp's then you can do Thukker missions. Quick way is the hauling missions.

if you managed to bring all friendly factions (eg one trio is sansha, blood, guristas) to below -5 their agents are closed forever to you.
you cant share faction standings with gangs, so thats no option.
