I've long searched for a calendar of some kind that displays on top of the desktop without any success, so I wonder if anyone else can recommend one?
Some needed features:
A way to easily add notes (preferably with timed warnings) Look decently Not take a horrible amount of resources
I'll hit the first one who says anything about Samurize.

Calendar, clock, local weather, stocks, reminder, and if you look you can find a Eve character skill tracker (it's on my work pc )
Little docking bar that you can attach to any side of the desktop and will slide out of view until you scroll over it. ___________________________

What you seek is most likely a little product called Rainlendar. It's easy to use and has a minimal footprint, both real estate and memory wise. See a shot of it in action on my desktop (top right): My Desktop Hope this suits your needs

In a few years time he might run out of wall space. Computers are much better at tasks such as this that only require "virtual" space.
