I heard that part of the update to the drones was to stop the drones from ignoring your orders. Well it's not so. The one thing that I wanted if nothing else from you guys with the drone update was to make it so that my drones would stop clearing their orders and doing whatever they wanted to.
If you still don't know what I'm talking about (you should by now) grab a set of heavy drones and make them attack a target more than 50km to you and have another target (any will do, so long as the drones will consider them a target). Once they hit about 50.5km from where they started, they'll randomly grab a new target.
I have no problem with drones picking targets when they have no orders, but for the love of all that's Holy please stop them from clearing their orders... Master of Arms Liason, Angel Cartel Sergeant, Archangels Dedication: 220% |

I know I'm not the only one who's affected by this. So why am I the only one who's complaining?
I don't see turrets randomly changing targets after being told to attack a certain target, or missiles for that matter. Why drones? Master of Arms Liason, Angel Cartel Sergeant, Archangels Dedication: 220% |

I hear ya, mate! It would appear that the drones have been disciplined but still retain some of their previous rebellious behavior. This "clearing their orders" problem has been around since... well, since there have been drones in EVE. If you send your drones to a target that is 50km away or more, they will "forget" the designated target at around the 45km mark. The problem is very repeatable and would seem to be connected to "time to target"... ie. this problem only occurs with heavy drones since it takes them longer to reach their target. Perhaps I should rephrase this into heavy drones "clear their orders" after XX period of time IF they do not reach their target.
Ok, here's a list of problems still plaguing our beloved drones: - Drones clear their orders if time to target exceeds a XX minutes - They still get stuck on each other - Even though "Focus fire" is specified, drones will sometimes split up and attack multiple targets - Does anyone know what kind of logic drones use to select targets when left to their own?
What I'd like to see added: - Ability to designate target class. For example: Attack all frigate class - Drone implants and damage mods (every weapon system has them except for drones)
Feel free to add more to both categories. I'm sure you guys have a lot more to add!
