Is there a way for CCP to clean out the stations with inactive corps (dead) that haven't played the game for over 4-6 months? I'm asking this because I have a friend who is a CEO of a corp at a station that contains 9 station services. He hasn't played Eve in more than 6.5 months and a corp office slot is being taken by him. I know for a fact that he will not be returning to the game, so my suggestion would be for CCP to clear his corp office spot so another corp can use it. I tried to rent an office at this particular station and received a message that the station office space was filled entirely. Anyone have any ideas on this? I posted this because with more and more corps forming in Eve, office space is geting extremely restricted. I guess there is always Shiva to turn to when the player-owned items take effect. http://www.eve-online.com/features/shiva/deployables/

*Someone* in the corp must still be active, because someone's paying the rent every month otherwise his slot would have been revoked.
But yes, it's a problem. It has been suggested that only corp offices which actually get USED (something put into/taken out of the hangar?) can be re-rented, similar to factories and lab slots.

As for only having corp offices that are used... We spread our work out across the galaxy, I don't want to have to move to each of my stations every month to move something.

Autopay until the corp runs out of money or similar perhaps? Or maybe he'll get a HUGE bill if he changes his mind and returns?

Yeah, you'd think that someone played in his stead, but I know him personally in RL and he is the only person in his corp, as he is the CEO. He hasn't paid CCP a single cent since August 29, 2003 to play this game and he's not returning to Eve due to RL issues. 
Could there be a bug in the game that keeps corp offices slots filled when the corp hasn't paid a rental fee for 7 months? I'm open to suggestions and ideas on this issue. It would also be nice to hear from someone in CCP concerning this thread.

You think you've got problems?
We had a 3-man corp but, due to RL problems, had to stop playing. 6 months later and I've returned. All our corp stuff has been impounded including a not-insubstantial amount of Megacite and Zydrine and a couple of BS BPs. The CEO isn't coming back, the 3rd guy has left and joined another corp which just leaves me.
I'm not a director and so can't get access to get the stuff back. Quite frustrating really.

It is likely that the office in question is the HQ. When you first incorporate you recieve that office but no hangar space. No matter how inactive a corporation is they will not loose their HQ office.
However as someone pointed out.... don't pay your rent, your stuff gets impounded and the hangar space is made available to someone else. I know... I've rented hangar space in good locations after finding good highway hangars was considered impossible.

Seems to me that even if a corp HQ becomes inactive for such a length of time that its office slot would be revoked by the station owner/manager. I don''t know why this would not be the case. It would be nice to be able to have this corps spot and be able to benefit from having this stations particular NPC Corp location with all 9 services, the R&D agent, and its prime location. Even if I didnt get a hanager space, Id still be able to have ppl apply to my corp at this location.
I just checked again and see that this particular inactive corp is listed in with the others corps. If I click on apply to corp, then the next screen initiates the corporate application process.
