hey..
MAP PROBLEM: Selected "show destroyed ships" and can't get the data and into the map
Been trying to look through the cache folder and other TXTs in the game folder to find the setting. When I try entering the MAP mode I get "getting data" "Ships destroyed" and I never get the data and therefore never enter the map. How can I reset my MAP settings?

Try editing your prefs.ini file and change the line starscolorby= to equal 1..
The file is found in C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\cache.
This should fix you up..

I've got the same issue. I tried to "filter" the map with "destroyed pods" or whatever the filter was named.
The map will not update, it'll just sit there with an eternal "update" bar. I hit ESC and can play the game, however the map wont work unless I do what was allready suggester in previous posts.
So question is, has anyone been able to use those map filters? I can use the filter that dislpays number of pilots though.

I got two computers, same config and hardware. I have been able to load the map and showing "destroyed pods" on one of them, but not the other one, seems a bit buggy to me

You have a map fix for "finding location". Seems my map is stuck...cant remember what i did last for settings besides trying to find polaris which we cant get to...thats the last time i used it successfully, now i cant get the fekcer to work...just sits at "finding location".
