so i stole some ore from one pilot, i was flagged to his corp. he cames back with a BC (im in a punisher) and we start to fight. after 15 min of fighting, only we both flagged to each other, i am no longer flagged to his corp. so his corpmate flies to us in a hulk, launches drones and tries to kill me. he gets concorded. i once saw movie of lofty29 where he pods in high sec (themostexpensivenoncapitalsolopvpmovieever.mkv around 3:20, farmer gets concorded and lofty pods him). so i think, this is the time! i catch hulk pilot pod, pop it, i get concorded :( can someone explain whats wrong with my situation and when i can pod ?

I think the point is that you can destroy the ship - but not pod the pilot.

When lofty did it, the pilot who was destroyed was in a gang with lofty's alt which was at war with lofty, which made that pilot technically at war as well. Giving lofty the right to pod him. ---

I'm sure he was at war with the pilot. I've podded quite a few people in high sec.

Podding a war target is allowed in high sec. Podding a flagged player is not allowed after you kill his ship.
In lotfy's case the target was in gang with war dec'd corp (or left gang shortly, but there is 30 second session change anyhow) and so he was considered to be a war target. Hence why he could pod him. In your case the target is simply flagged, so you got concorded.

Well.. You might have missed the loots but you took the pod out for only the cost of your ship and a bit of secstatus. Tbh, the guy probably had a full set of mining implants (at least pretend he did) so you can always smile of the thought that you really really ****ed him off :D

You'll lose the sec status (huge -12.5%), you'll lose your ship but on the bright side podding a flagged person don't give them killrights. -- Heat, easy to burn your mods by mistake, hard to get it to work when you need it the most. Well designed interface CCP! |

Edited by: Sarkkon on 12/12/2007 10:59:40 Sorry you lost your frigate. But look on the bright side, he probably had a nice HIGHWALL set of mining implants as well as +4 or better training implants since he was in a hulk.
Good kill in my book. (actually does this new system tell you the implant he lost in your pod kill mail?)
If you do have the listing of implants lost Id be interested if you could post it (is that in the forum rules?)
