I'd really like to do missions for Mordu's Legion, but I am not used to go to 0.0 sec space.... assuming I have enough SPs but not enough experience in PvP, what would you suggest? should I go there? my main concern is that I will be shot down by player alliances who consider some systems between mordu and high-sec space "their" territory and think I might spy for some enemy... (if it's not blue, shoot it)... I am in a "noob" corp and have always been there. RL does not supply me with enough spare time to do anything but PvE, unfortunately...
I think I could manage gate camps (I have a well fitted Buzzard and the SPs to stay hidden and mobile), but if I do missions for Mordu, I need a PvE fitted ship... I have no idea how to get such a ship there... assume I can fly most Caldari ships, what should I do?
when I look at the map, there are always enough pod kills between Mordu and high sec to make me think twice about venturing there... and the amount of jumps in relation to pilots in space suggests that the borders are heavily camped (at least the few times I checked...)... how dangerous is it really?
hope you can help me

Edited by: Sivlar Sylvannathas on 12/12/2007 01:22:21 I ran Mordu missions back ages ago. Basically back then Razor Alliance held the system Mordu's station was in, Frege and Ekliptika Alliance held most of the systems leading there from Gallente space. I had to contact all 3 alliances and let them know my intentions.
Frege and Ekliptika gave me passage rights and did not shoot at me while moving my PvE fit Brutix up there. Razor allowed me to mission in the system and were a really cool bunch. It was all pretty fun until ACSN or something like that went to war with Razor and pretty much zerged the entire constellation with mass amounts of ships. Shooting anyone not in their alliance. Running missions after that got tedious as your always looking behind your back for the zerg to show up.
I am not sure who has claim to 5z anymore and have not been up there since. The process would probably be the same though. Find out who owns it, contact them and get permission to run missions. Also find out if an alliance or alliances claim the route there, and contact them for safe passage. Also I always heard the route from Caldari space to Mordu is heavily camped by pirates, I assume it still is. If you go Gallente space to Mordu it maybe be less camped but you never really know.
Also, bring ammo and any other BPO's you may want, along with salvage gear. Equipment is very scarce out in 0.0 |

System itself hosts a corp named Mordu's Angels or something to that extent, they operate NBSI as far as I can tell (got aggressed by them last night whilst undocking from 5z)?
Pure Blind itself is mainly controlled by Triumvirateu, with the choke points being pirated if it isnt controlled by TRI.
There are a few other smaller alliances out and about there as well (towards X70). -

so you say there are probably too many factions involved to be even remotely save on a PvE fitted ship?

go there in a shutle/covop/frig and check the system and locals, if you feel safe enough to run missions check if you can buy a ship from market. if not totaly overpriced buy the ship there insted of moving one from empire

Paranoia serves a purpose running low/null-sec missions. Keep an eye on local, make good use of the scanner and have a few safe-spots to bounce between.
When first starting, try to refrain from pimping out your ship too much - Fly cheap! - Expect it to be ganked within a week, if it lasts longer consider yourself lucky. When you feel more comfortable with the area, don't hesitate to upgrade - But still expect it to get blown up!
"Having a laugh!" is enough reason to blow stuff up!
You can try negotiating a standing with the locals, but more than often people living in low/null-sec find it counter-productive to have too many blues: Having targets to shoot is quite nice!
Enjoy, and fly safe..
