Edited by: OOOSOOO on 12/12/2007 20:02:14 Edited by: OOOSOOO on 12/12/2007 20:00:31 I am about to jump into my first cap ship. A Chimera to be exact. I will be mainly be doing logistics with it(moving ships and ammo into 0.0).
Please give me some good tips and advice as I would like to hold on to this ship as long as possible.
A fitting here and there would be appreciated as well. I was thinking this purely for defense if I get jumped:
High: Cloak Faction smartbomb 2 x DCU 1 x faction heavy neut
Mid: Cap shield boost 2 x shield boost amp 1 x em hardener 3 x invuln (Tech II or faction as I collect them)
low: 4 x Cap power relay
rigs: 3 x CCC
Thanks in advance

Capacitor power relays destroy your shield boost amount. Just so you know. |

Edited by: NoNah on 12/12/2007 20:36:37 Well.. +66% Shield boost just might be better than than 1/(1-(0.3 *0.57) = 20% Extra boost.
Either go with 4x PDS or 4x Fluxes.

CPR aren't as uncommon to fit as you'd think. Their cumulative penalty isn't that bad for perma running a setup. |

CPR's are used, but thats for a permarun setup. For a default setup, fit 2 PDU, 1 Damage Control, and 1 CPU II. Then switch the neut, for a shield harmonizing gang mod.

no damage control on a carrier...if they get you to hull you are dead anyway...

It does add shield resistance as well, you know. |

And it has such a huge amount of hull, that the damage control gives you an extra 3 minutes of living. Which is great for your gang mates.

Hehe, by that line of reasoning, you shouldn't ever use a damage control. Yet they are immensely popular.

Bad setup.

Nope, they don't. But they do boost your capacitor recharge into the obscene.

The setup to be posted at the bottom here permatanks 5.3k DPS while having 175 cap/s spare.

Fluxes on cap ship = Bad. PDUs take too much CPU.
Work towards something like this.
