Hey Everyone!
I know alot of people who disagree with the idea of incursions citing numerous arguments I will not repeat here. I personally am not a fan, but I have to agree that incursions add a great gameplay element to highsec that was largely lacking before: group combat activities.
I know alot of incursion runners are former nullsec ratters/missioners gone back to HS to make isk for their pvp alts, but I pose these question to the mission bears (non-pvpers) of highsec:
With all the isk you have made doing incursions, have you become more willing to venture out of highsec to try your hand at pvp?
Has your corp organized more roams out of highsec to do pvp?
Given the relatively (outside of PLEX) stomachable inflation, what are you doing with your isk in general?"

I will actually answer your question. YES, I plan on moving to null in the Summer due to Incursions.
I have been a carebear since I started playing but have ventured out into lowsec and null due to WH ops and general curiosity. I did incursions for a couple weeks prior to my deployment (Active Duty Navy) and made a couple billion ISK in the process. However, it was not the ease of access to ISK that made null attractive, it was the flying in a fleet that was KICK ASS.
I flew a Guardian for the first time in my career. And an incursion fitted Legion! I used voice comms for the first time. I took orders from an experienced FC and actually took over FC duties on one occasion due to DC. I learned a ton and got excited about EVE!
So, yes. When I get back from deployment I plan on joining an active corp in a good Alliance and get in on the fun. I pay for my sub so large amounts of ISK is not really needed, just ship replacement. And I have a PvE fitted Marauder for that (in the event incursions are nerfed before I get back). I am excited about EVE again and it is due to incursions.
I am currently sitting on my pile of ISK like Smaug. |

A good point. With both fleet experience and ready cash, many players may feel that they can contribute to 0.0. (why escapes me but still).
I've long felt that a lot won't venture into other arenas for the bad rep you can get so quickly - not from losing ships but more about losing ships by doing something dumb.
More than once I've seen 0.0 fleet fights do more damage to their own players than the enemy - and I'm not talking using dps to do it either.
Nullsec democracy is an oxymoron.
Bloc voting for-áalliance candidates is Democracy for Morons 101. Let them perish in their self-interest.

Another thread. Well i be bnice and actually answer this one. I will eventually return to 0.0 possibly around fall with my main toon. as it stands i am waiting to see where things fall and soldify out on nullsec before making the move. the incursions i feel will allow me to recoop my wallet from my last adventure with the idiots in high command cost me more then i desire.
I doi have to say that the incursion groups are an awsome step in helping those who may be interested in going out there and teaching them how fleet combat goes yeah i know its kinda laid back compared to 0.0 fleet roams and not understan ding it can cause that 50roam die to a 20man crew due to stupidity. been there seen it do not like it when the FC calls everyone idiotic or something along them lines.
But i feel i AM DIGRESSING.
Have fun and remember the game is catered to multiple people and we should enjoy it as much as possible what ever aspect we enjoy |
