Edited by: Innuandi on 13/12/2007 12:53:33 Hey All,
I've been playing EVE on and off for over a year now and after this patch I have some awful issues...
Once I log into the game, the game works for about 10 seconds or so, then i lose connection to the server and get booted.
However, that's not all... My DLINK DSL-504 ADSL router which has served me for some years now crashes and freezes, requiring a power cycle in order to get back online.
This ONLY happens when I run EVE after the latest patch and happens exactly ten seconds after the game starts.
So far nothing I've done seems to help.
Is there anything that would cause this update to EVE to CRASH a router???
Please help, any info is appreciated.

Sounds really odd, why would a game installed on a computer crash a router? Try borrowing another router from a friend and try.

Dude, maybe check your router firmware? No software is able to crash your router. If it is, the router sux and there maybe an update for it. If your router crashes, there is a fundamental problem with the router, not any software application.

I found that if i disabled voice chat in-game, the issue went away.
I tried a linksys router as well, same result.
Updated all firmware, with no change in behaviour (Still froze router).
Weird.. but anyway, problem solved.
