Having blown away some serpent mercenaries and retrieved cargo.i found that some were ship logs,who wants these? as i have tried selling them on the market and it is classed as 'not tradeable'any idea's......??

Read the log...it leads you to some semi-juicy stuff.
That said be careful...pirates have taken to camping some locations to catch people following the log.
Also, sadly, CCP has made these logs drop WAY too much IMO. Two days after these things came in I ran to a pot and it was already heavily camped...not by pirates but by others who got the same direcions.
Still, if you are adventurous you might see where they lead you.

however be careful. some of the places the logs will lead you too are practically teaming with pirates. enter at your own risk.

I followed a log yesterday, and ended up fighting off three waves of NPC pirates, including several cruisers and hoards of frigates.
By the time it was over, I'd lost 5 Ogre drones and was completely out of ammo.
It was great fun. My security rating went up 0.1 point!

One journal I found said the pirates had picked something up out of deep space and it got out of the container, killed most of everyone and the ship was contaminated wiht "it". So I don't know how this info was suppose to be helpful... other than I may have done the universe a justice by detroying a virulent strain of parasidic creature.
The pirate ship was damaged by the time I found it... strange.
