Do they just pray random people from Empire will want to join 0.0 and hope they will fit in with 0.0 fleet warfare? Do they pray people search for their website and maybe find the corp interesting? Eve has a pretty small population as it is compared to other games so I suggest corps like RISE figure out something effective for a change.

I heard a rumor that a certain alliance tried a pro-alliance thread on CAOD but they actually humiliated themselves and it backfired horribly causing the loss of 150 or so members.

It's members and their dedication makes the alliance what it is. see: every other alliance in game, both current and now disbanded. An alliance can only be defeated by itself, ofcourse those ebil goons and the lack of BoB aide didn't help morale (ultimately causing people to leave due to lack of fun, etc, etc). The only example I can think of off the top of my head was when BoB smoked the goons in the past and said they would never be allowed to build up again, blah blah.
