Ladies and Gentlemen, I was testing PI today as I do on sisi. Nothing is working right now and its throwing really weird errors. Mainly all PI structures are deleted and new structures cant be anchored. Interested I tried to find these deleted PI strucutes. I opened the Overview settings and I see.
Some Weird Stuff
Planetary Interaction
- Capsuleer Bases
- Mercenary Bases
I am assuming Capsuleer bases are the space side of an elevator and the mercenary base is the planetside of the elevator. Planetary Seige stuff maybe?
Orbitals
- Orbital Construction Platform
- Orbital Infrastructure
- Test Orbitals
Orbital Construction Platforms sound to me like some sort of Construction block to make other orbitals with. i.e. Construction platforms build Orbital Infrastructure.
Orbital Infrastructure may be something like the current Planetary Customs Office. Maybe we get tax free shipping if we conquer a planet and invest in orbital stuff or some such.
Test Orbitals is some sort of testing thing, unfinished item or something.
Let the wild speculation begin

Orbital construction platforms need to go up and then upgraded to POCO'. During this process you can't anchor 'cos someone is already doing it on that planet.
And the ones that were there didn't get "deleted", they got exploded.
As for the DUSTY bits floating around, no idea. I'll go with your guess.

PI is tedious enough without forcing us to manage the Dust 514 stuff as well, are CCP really planning on making PC players do all the horrid micro-management and grinding while Dust 514 just buy a game once and then play the full thing whenever they like? That'd be the last straw for me for certain, CCP desperately need to release Dust 514 as an expansion otherwise It's just going to be a crappy exclusive no one but bored PS3 players with too much money will play.
I can picture it now:
"Squad 1, you're primary is the control point over by that warehouse"
"f u noob I'm going to get kills so I can upgrade my suit"
"Don't go fighting those tanks wtf are you doing? Stupid noob!"
"Im a pro gtfo u noob"
*squad 1 dies moments later because the people they were fighting spent money on overpowered tank cannons because CCP threw game balance in the bin favouring paying money to win instead*

Putting together PI makes me happy for some reason. I have 6 maxed out planets producing absolutely nothing.

And to Valei - if that happened in a match, I would have the offending player kicked from the match. Helps when you have access to a key that can remotely deactivate individual clones.
