As far as Anti Pirate, it's a cute label that a lot of people try to pin on themselves. Usually all this means is they don't hunt anything in low sec that isn't set red to them. There are very few, if any, successful corps that are able to make a living hunting only pirates, so that romance should be left out of your thinking as well.

I am sorry to say this is wrong. What you are thinkning about are pirate/bounty hunters, which is totally diffrent. Anti-Pirate is a policy, or a stance if you will on the subject of piracy. Just like Anti-Bush people don't go around and hunt for Bush, Anti-Pirates don't hunt for Pirates. Being a Anti-Pirate also means that you don't pirate yourself. I myself am a part of a Anti-Pirate alliance, not that we have a passionate hatred towards pirates or anything, some of our pilots are former pirates, woopsie, downtime is over, time to go and rat
Well I think you might have misread that a little bit, and this is my main, btw. The problem with work is, I was able to log on once, hit save password, and then was prevented from logging on again due to firewalls. So fair game. What I meant in that original snippet is pretty much exactly what you just said, it's a policy, hence why I quoted NRDS in low sec. I've had a decent bit of experience with 0.0 corps and alliances that had an "anti pirate" philosophy, and this is exactly what they meant by it. Non hostiles were not to be engaged outside of "controlled" 0.0 space. So basically, NRDS in low sec. I also made a remark about the romantic design of bounty hunting and all out pirate specific target corps is largely non existant. I was actually thinking of Foundati0n specifically as an example of the anti pie NRDS policy. I'm sorry that you were completely unable to see my original point, but it happens. Corroded, or however you spell your name, you are a very ignorant and self centered person. My views and statements are, for the most part in some similar fashion, widely accepted as "common practice." While there is no "you must follow this rule or you can never call yourself a pirate" rules out there, a general rule of thumb exists. Sure, you can go out and say "yarr hiddeledee I'm a pirate I'm gonna blow up everything and never ransom and say yarr in local!" but I highly doubt you'll ever be taken seriously by the pirate "in crowd", if you will. For those of you who randomly or rarely step foot into 0.0 or low sec for pvp, you are not considered a pirate, although you may do pirate acts. Without setting a personal definition into the mix, let me say that just because you do something once or twice doesn't make you something. Say I run a mission or two, does that make me a carebear? No. Same as if I missioned 90% of the time and ran into a .4 system and ransomed some guy. Am I a pirate? No, but I did commit a pirate act. There is a difference there.
I still say PvP is a highly unused label, right along side of Pirate. Some people have hit what I think is the nail on the head when they remarked to participating in Pirate or PvP acts. Security status of the system doesn't determine piracy, the act itself does. And yes, there are many honorable pirates out there that I would trust on their word. For those that have no honor, they are usually wannabe's, or maybe they are just *******s. *shrug*
