Hey, im thinking of buying a cheap desktop to run the trinity gfx as my current laptop with an x700 is getting too old. I was thinking of getting something like this. Anybody able to speculate how well it will run?
Motherboard:ECS 671T-M mATX LGA775 SIS671 DDR2 1PCI-E16 1PCI-E1 2PCI SATA2 RAID Video Sound LAN Motherboard
Processor:Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 Dual Core Processor LGA775 Conroe 2.4GHZ 800FSB 2MB Retail
Ram:A-DATA PC2-5300 1GB DDR2-667 240PIN DIMM Memory Module
Vidcard: ASUS Radeon HD2400 Pro Passive Silent 525MHZ 256MB 800MHZ DDR2 VGA DVI-I HDTV Out PCI-E Video Card
Please note i am very computer illiterate. These are a bunch of things my friend suggest i pick out for my computer if im on a tight budget (im buying parts seperately and hes going to help me put it together).
My biggest worry is the 1 gig of ram and the possibly insufficient gfx card. Im not sure if the HD 2400 has SM 3.0 or that 1 gig of ram is enough.
Furthermore, how is the processor?
Thanks for your input guys

processor is nice , A-data is good ram if you want you can add 1 GB ram later .I would only rethink gfx card ,if you dont want silent one you can try 2600pro look to 2600pro sapphire/powercolor prices ,and last advice ask your friend for overclock friendly board you can easily overclock core2duo cpus ,E4600 is great candidate to achieve 3.2 ghz btw radeon 2**** series have shader 4.0 and directx 10

I'd go with 2 GB of RAM at LEAST unless you can't afford it now, but will be able to afford it in the coming months. 1-2 GB RAM increase is huge... especially for EVE.

For the past 6 years I've used AData and am very pleased with them. There're better brands but for the price their quality is unbeatable.
I would recommend you stay away from the premium client especially if you're going to run more than one client. The uncountable bugs will drive you insane. The normal client is a little better but not by much. Also forget what CCP recommend, they must have guessed what the client needs because the moment you add a second client your performance drops to a third of what it is with one client. I have a quad core and the client is stupidly stupid.
