How many level 4 missions are there in EvE? My guess is a little over or just under 200, yet somehow my agent keeps giving me the same 10 or 12 missions over and over again ......... this shouldn't be IMO and the Dev's need to fix the agent random mission generator so that we don't receive the same mission two missions later or even in the same day. How do you guys feel about this?

Lets say you get offered say 50 different missions, would you ***** on the forums if you got offered several anti faction missions in a row? |

No, no I wouldn't, in fact that would be a nice change from the same 4 drone missions I've been running as of late, It would IMO be very nice to not receive the same mission in a 24 hour period, that would be ideal and it can be done and should be done

You are looking for some excitement while doing missions right? try missioning in low sec, you'll learn that the same mission will probably not end the same when blinky reds drop by in your mission site saying hello. |

If you include courier and mining missions, then there are probably 200 empire faction missions.
Divide that by 12 (3 to remove couriers, 4 to limit to one faction) and you get ~25 available to a given agent. Now each agent has a list of missions that they can offer; to encourage moving around, that list does not include every mission available to a faction, so you get a 10-15 missions per agent. If you want different ones, that's easy. Move.

A case insensitive grep+wc of this page (just the text in the table) came back with 181 instances. So at least 181 level 4 combat missions. Plus whatever courier and mining (9) and unlisted storyline missions there are.

Incorrect. The level 4 combat agent I've been running with for a while offers me everything available to their faction. From records that comes in at over 30 different missions excluding anti-faction missions as I don't accept them. So in total I'm looking at about 40+ different missions available from my agent.
I'd suggest that if you really are getting the same missions over and over that you've just hit a specific run of random numbers and you should go and read the 'why was exploration nerfed in the last patch' thread. |

It's been a year since I ran missions. At that point I was pretty sure that each agent had a subset taken from the list of faction and region available missions.
But, if that's not the case anymore, thanks for correcting me.

Thanks for the info guys ...... it makes sense now, but I still say they should block missions that you've completed for at least 12 hours, this way you could get a full rotation of missions and that = FUN

lol... it`s fine as it is now :)
I`ve had really nice randoms like Worlds collide ->crap ->Words collide - > ..... etc
by this i mean u can get profitable missions several times per evening
I would not trade that for more "colorful random" Of course it`s not fun to do crap drone missions as those are pure time sink but u have to get over it or decline more than 1 per 4h as i do sometime when that **** agent gives me crap :D |

ookay... lets say agent has 30 total missions to offer... and it doesnt offer the same mission again until after DT next day.
How does hardcore mission runner like me deal with missioning after lets say 3 hours?
move my entire missionfleet few jumps to another agent? i darn like my agent... :P |
