While all good things must come to an end; the unfortunate timing of MC's standing reset seems to be a very bad turn of events for the GBC. Facing the combined might of most of the rest of the universe, how long can BoB hold out?
Taking a look back at the last year of this conflict we seem to be able to draw some very succinct conclusions. Throughout the history of their relationship, BoB and MC seem to have had a very mutually advantageous relationship, which is now apparently at and end. With half of goonswarm quoting Seleene in their forum signatures, there is a definite implication that they believe the MC is now firmly in their camp. I'll save my comments on defining yourself by the people around you for later.
I can't imagine BoB holding out for any long amount of time, unless they can manage to stalemate long enough for their aggressors to simply get bored. However, were I in charge of strategic decision making for the Band of Brothers, I'd want to go out with a bang. Whatever you think about either of these organizations, I think everyone can agree that they are both very good at what they do. Now maybe we'll get to see who is better.

So now we must ask ourselves the question, what exactly will the next six months hold? Well, MC seems to have made themselves some very good friends with KIA and Krautbreak, perhaps we'll see a new block of power that no one expected in the PB/PS area. You'll notice that the forum ban on GS smacking MC has extended to MC's new and unspoken of allies, leading me at least to believe that there has already been promises of whom will control what regions assuming the campaign against the GBC is successful.

MC have not announced that they are going onto the offensive against BOB, in fact they have not said outright that BOB has lost their blue status. For all any of us know BOB may be one of those case by case corps/allainces
I suspect however that BOB is now Neutral, MC will operate a NBSI policy but will not take part in actively dismantling BOBs POS infrastructure.
Also expect another annoucement regarding MC's future and their relationship with Evoke, Outbreak and KIA alliances.

Whatever...
One thing though ... has anyone ever considered that BoB might become more dangerous again if they are kicked out of Delve ? What about a roaming Bob ? They will still be more dangerous and more organized then about anyone. Oh yeah, and Delve has NPC stations. -----------------------------------------------

indeed
IF bob kicked out, and its still a big if, the member corps are still very strong, and likely to persue and agenda against some unlucky corps / alliance.

More dangerous? lmao. An alliance with their tail between their legs after all the scandals theyve been through, and constant DEV interaction with their alliance. I sense BoB is in their final hours.

Edited by: Ramlir on 15/12/2007 16:14:14 This is just another display of BoB's complete ineptitude concerning those they ally with. Mercenaries and subservient renters do not make good allies when the **** hits the fan.

Like RISE,ISS, etc Like surrendering 3 regions without a fight
BOB are losing space and allies , putting up fights in a few systems while the rest of their space and infrastructure gets slowly removed.
If thats fighting strong I wonder what would happen when they dont try...

3 regions that were a buffer zone, if you know about old alliances you would know about that, i like what you did there though, picking out 2 of the alliance who have the most negative goonagander

lol, MC have been out of the war for a good couple of months now.
While im sad our longtime friendship is over, i cant really see this as a big thing. We'll keep on fighting like we've been doing. Constant war for over 18 months now is definatly 4tw :D
It aint over until the fat lady sings and SMG is quite fit!

People used to try to pitch this line back in Shadowbane, too. It never held up to reality then, and it's not about to start now. ------ Director, No Quarter "There is no problem that cannot be solved by the judicious application of violence." |
