What if you run twin Invun fields, 2-3 LSE II and a WEB. You would use an Anti-EM RIG to make up for your EM weakness.
The result is a ship that can really screw anything that tries to tackle it short of another BS or BC. Hello |

Gasp. Putting a web on something? Wow, thats original.
Wait, how does this screw anything that tackles you exactly? And how do you tackle stuff back? Ponder.

Well, so let's say get get tackled by an inty, if you web it back, it is going to die pretty fast! Even a cruiser is going to die fairly quickly against you if you get them webbed.
I am thinking of this as a semi-defensive fit.

Use real tacklers to tackle. If you really think you're planning on killing things You need a scram too cause an inty is gonna warp the moment it gets webbed and you're still gonna be tackled from 24kms out by other stuff. In fact, I'd be highly surprised if anything smaller than another BC even comes within 10kms of you. Most decent PVP gangs are either gonna use a heavy tackler to web you, or a huginn/rapier.
You might kill the occasional dumb frigate with this, you wont kill cruisers etc without a point.

Not new. But try
mwd, web, scram, 2x invul II, 1 lse II
in your mids. HAMs in high (or heavies if you want, dps is meh though), BCUs/DCU/PDUs in lows.
And you can even use the em rig! I'd suggest a thermal as well. Do whatever you want with the last rig slot.
Now you can both catch people, AND do a bit of chasing --------------

Oh, and the reason I think this is a cool idea is because the one EM rig is cheap, but you are left with a boat that can't easily be tackled. You still would need a tackle for more offensive operations.
Could always passive tank and use precision t2 missiles to take down tacklers, normal heavies for cruisers/bc and above that are further out and t2 heavies for stuff close up...JUST a thought.

For that matter, how about fitting ship with at least two T2 launchers with precision M's to deal with the tackle, and keep the rest as Faction Heavy for the all around DP factor.
