Anyone have any ideas how to bring my fps up from 4-7fps in space? Before Trinity, I would see ~90 in stations and ~50-60 in space... I just "clawed" through a mission and my high point was 7 or 8 fps! It was horrible! I've tried just about every setting I could.
Do I need to just turn off premium content and call the whole eye candy update a loss?
Any way I can cancel my accounts early and get a refund? no? didn't think so... serves me right for paying for more than a month at a time. Back when things were stable, quick, and so much more fun...
Oh... basic PC specs: P4 3.2 1GB RAM GeForce 7800GS Vista Ultimate |

Edited by: Lego Maniac on 18/12/2007 00:51:34 turn off vsync by setting interval immediate
turn off cache
turn off HDR
go the NVIDIA control panel and select the option to let the program decide what it wants (do not force your own settings)
and get another 1 gig stick of ram

Edited by: Kur''Dekaija on 18/12/2007 12:54:09 I have a Radion Mobility x1600 256mb card on my laptop and I can play premium. Even though I had to turn off shadows and HDR and set my graphic card to max performance for the cost of good looks. Despite that EVE looks so cool, Gallente ships are so shiny :D
And I get more FPS now than I did before Trinity, dunno why the hell ppl are whining. Old FPS was around 35 with 1 client running, now I get close to 100 most of the time in space. In fights about 50+. Classic used to get me like 25 in fights.
Well I only noticed one problem, cant really play 2 accounts at same time now but doesn't bother me much.
My specs: T2300 @ 1.66Ghz 2 GB RAM Radion Mobility x1600 256mb Windows XP

that's amazing FPS, wish I could get something close to that, even though my system has about the same specs as yours
I might try downgrading back to XP from vista though, vista is fail and a half

Hmm, I got a laptop with the same graphics chip, faster processor but only 1 GB of RAM and I had to revert to EVE Classic. What screen resolution are you running the game at?
The day that EVE is truly bug-free, the EVE Gate will probably go super nova and kill us all. |

Oh dear, game designers *gasp* designing a game with new graphics power in mind. Give me a break.

Please resize image to a maximum of 400 x 120, not exceeding 24000 bytes, ty. If you would like further details please mail [email protected] - Cortes |

You should have enough horsepower for Trinity without many problems.
Turn off HDR, Shadows to Normal, Cache to normal... Make sure you're not forcing Anti-Aliasing through the nvidia control panel. Also might have to reduce your in game resolution, depending what you game at.
Install Windows XP? Vista would be holding that system down, big time.

I have a 2 year old PC and my system rocks Trinity. 40-60fps everywhere with 4xAA. I'm glad they went balls out on details, and then left classic mode for people with old boxes.
For what it's worth, I'm sorry that your integrated graphics card can't hold muster anymore, the gfx in the new version are great and I wish you could enjoy them. But please stop hating on Trinity because you're jealous of people who can run it.
Get a job, this isn't crysis, a computer capable of running Trinity is not expensive.

this seems to be the biggest difference from all the systems posted in this topic, 1 from 2 sticks of ram. my system seems to run fine on premium graphics on normal, gets a little glitchy around stations on high... E6600 2.4GHz Radeon x1600pro 512MB 2GB ram: DDR2 800 1440 X 900 resolution on 22' widescreen

Edited by: Arra Slave on 18/12/2007 17:26:02 No real problems running the Trinity content here, and my machine's anything but 'current'
Athlon64 3500+ overclocked to 2.6 crappy EVGA GForce 7600gt 512MB superclocked AGP (booo, AGP :( woe is me) 2 gigs of RAM Windows XP
Runs Trinity fine if not balls-to-the-walls-all-out-graphics, with the normal tweaks people talk about here... such as turning down (or off) HDR, toning down the shadow level, lowering the cache size...
no real complaints at all with it myself, it runs good enough, and looks great still

I play window mode so 1280x800. Could use more but then no room on my screen for other programs. I like being able to see bit on other windows etc without allways having to alt+tab constantly.
Update on my setup, I have HDR off, shadow off but cache size at high, havent had memory problems yet like some ppl had with the cache.
