Well, that's what I wrote the bug report for. When we started, no one in the gang had ever run this 10/10, so we didn't have any idea what to expect, and details for this one aren't plentiful. Now, we know how to run it, and I'm fairly confident that we could run it with two logistics ships, a tank, and two ravens, fairly easily. I'd say we could probably do it without any losses, first try. BUT, I want to know whether or not it's worth it. I don't want to run it 20 more times to find out whether or not it's bugged, so I just figured I'd ask CCP.
Like I said, CCP has not said whether or not it's an intended game mechanic that this plex can be run without dropping any Pith / DG loot. It might be by design. But they did say they didn't *know* it could be run without dropping any good loot. It has been forwarded to a higher-up in the development team, with the added note from the bug hunting team "The overseerŠs got adjusted, but shouldnŠt some loot be present each run, although in varying quality and quantity?".
I'll wait and see, but admittedly if I do stumble across another one of these, and we can muster the right ships to run it, I'd gladly do it again just for the fun. But I won't hunt them down thinking they're profitable until I hear back from CCP.

Its all about getting lucky really, me and some friends did a maze, we lost 1 abbadon due to a ****ty connection, but got nearly 3 billion in loot from the final station.

Basicly the last stage of the old 10/10 (the maze) with low faction loot chance , you need 2 dmg dealer bs with rr and rr drones , deimos with 2 1600mm plate + trimarks tanked kin therm and em and a logistics. simple

Indeed a tough one but u definately don't need a 5 men crew.
Done it with a Megathron + Guardian today.
Setups used: Megathron: 1600, 2x Emp, 2x Kin, 1x Therm, 1x DCU (bit short on cpu) Guardian: 4x Large RR, 1x med Cap, Cloak
I guess that's the minimum u can bring to the final stage, tank and damage wise. A few dps less and u r not able to destroy the outpost. A bit less remote rep love and u have to warp out. And warping back in is something u shouldn't do more often than necessary. The single shot of the Outpost every time u land in the stage raped my plated ishtar instantly (wrecking shot for 12133 damage ). No idea what damage this turret deals but it is insane...
Loot is kinda rubbish according to the risk and time. Got a 22nd Overseer thingie and a Pith A-Type Ballistic haumichblau.

Me and a mate just ran this plex today. Yup thats right just the two of us =] Not some fleet of BS's but any who. This complex is really easy to do if you know how to do it right. We did it alone with 2 battleships, one the handy megathron as tank and a Dominix as logistics. Though you might ask why not use a logistics ship? Well domis can hold not only repping drones but sentry drones also which are very handy.
This complex did take us about two hours and we had to warp out twice. But this was only because of cap problems and trying to get our cap recharge rates to the right level. This was because there were 3x level II neut batteries that came into the fight about half way through. They were actually the hardest part of the whole complex.
These were out setups,
Dominix
Lows 2x Large 'Accomindation' Reppers 5x Cap Power Relay II
Medium 1x Sensor Booster II 4x Cap Rechargers II
High 4x Large 'Arup' Remote Armor Reppers 1x Large Energy Transfer II 1x Improved Cloak II (NEEDED)
Rigs 3x CCC's
Drones 5x Garde I 5x Hammerhead II 5x Vespa EC-600 5x Heavy Armor Maintenance Bots
Megathron Setup
Lows 2x Armor Kinetic Hardener II 2x Armor EM Hardener II 1x Armor Thermic Hardener II 1x Damage Control II 1x 1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Medium 4x Cap Recharger II
High 7x 425mm Carbide Railgun I, Guristas Antimatter Charge L 1x Drone Link Augmentor I
Rigs 1x Anti-Kinetic Pump I 1x Anti-Thermic Pump I 1x Anti-EM Pump I
Drones Ogre II x5
Anywho, we did this via range. I warped in at my pod and went out to 150km then got the domi to warp in and cloak up. I then went back to my safe and grabed my megathron and warped in.
Firstly there was only about 5BS, 4BCs and about 4 frigates. Easy to kill once they got in range. Then we started on the station and moved into about 60km and when it got down to 75% shields we got another spawn. A litter smaller than the first.
Again it spawned another wave at 25% shields, 75% armor and 25% armor. 4 spawns all up not counting the first upon warp in. The second spawn was the hardest because there was 3x level II neuting batteries, which were out of range of us but they sucked my cap dry the first time. Second time around we got it fine.
Eventually we manged to kill the station by actually not taking down all its armor, it had 50% armor and it bleed structure untill the point it died. After the shields it goes down very fast.
We didn't get any dread spawns, though the can dropped by the station had a Pith A-Type Shield Amplifier, and a 22nd Tier Overseers thingy. All up we made about 500mill from this complex.
Here is a screeny to the damage I was getting hit by from the Outpost, LINKY!!!.
On average over that 10minute time frame I took 170k damage. We were at this plex for nearly 2 hours and a half. I calculated that over a 120minute time period I managed to tank 1.57 billion damage. Which is mighty impressive id say =]
Good luck to anyone else wanting to do this missions, its a tough one. Player it safe, make sure you have your logistics / repping ships cloaked in the complex otherwise you might go down.
Here is a linky to my loadout on BattleClinic for more information, ANOTHER LINKY!!!

Edited by: Mofel on 15/04/2008 20:53:58 Edited by: Mofel on 15/04/2008 20:52:25 So if its not bugged why is the Serpentist Staging point so easy.. Soloed it with a passive tanked NH. Torpedo from the serp outpost only does about 200 dmg per hit on my NH. Not so with the guristas version tho.
Was able to do the guristas version with a shield/armor tanked abbandon with 2 logistic dominix.

Did 'The Maze' about 2-3 weeks ago, and suprise suprise, we got nothing but the overseer tier.
And im nearly 100% sure that the ROF of the Doom torp increases when the Outpost hits its last bit sturcture.
Whoever said they managed this in a Mega and Gaurdian, you were extremely lucky your logistics didnt get raped by the 'triggered spawns.'
Our setup:- 1 vulture 1 basilisk 2 tempests ( with 2 sheild RR)
Seemed to work fine. Gorjy |

The reason their logistics ship didn't get ****** over was because it had a cloak. Just cloaked up every time a spawn came and uncloaked and repped this mega when the mega had aggro. Same way I did with my my mega and domi. Domi could cloak if a spawn came uncloak and rep after.
