I was fighting a stabbed up drake in my broadsword today and it managed to warp out even with my scram active on him. Have i missed something in the patch notes or is this just a major bug?

False information.
My bet is that you were lagged while you activated your scrambler, it happens sometimes

I think if you use script, then it functions as a normal scrambler, with strength 1. No?

Just tested with a corp mate, with a blockade runner and 3 warp core stabs, and one field generator with the focused script stopped him from warping.

maybe it's a bug, or module lag. it's happened to our pilot. had his picture up and everything, slapped the scram to full power yet the damn things warp away ------------------------------------ If you define cowardice as running away at the first sign of danger, screaming and tripping and begging for mercy, then yes, Mr. Brave man, I guess I'm a coward |

Scrambling takes a bit of time to have effect. You know the.. "X has started trying to warp scramble..." doesnt mean he is already scrambled ---------------------------------------

the fight had already lasted a few min when he desided to warp away sadly. As soon as my backup came he just warped off and the scram had been active the whole time

Try some tests with corpmates... see if there's some sort of delay between reactivations or something (such that he could continually hit warp and eventually get away if he was aligned).

The only thing I could think of without it being a bug, is either the field generator deactivating for some reason (lack of cap) or he moved out of range. As I say I just tested against a ship with a warp core strength of 5 and I managed to hold him in place.
A drake could never reach that, so we discount the possibility that 5 is the most it will scram.
Apart from that I'm out of ideas.

imo if there is a delay between activations then it's bugged. a regular warp scram doesn't have a delay on it. as soon as the module is activated on the target ship, they are unable to warp unless they have more warp strength than the jammer, and there is no break between cycles.
could be you ran out of cap, or he got out of range. www.the-bastards.com |

I got a Drake today in my Broadsword and he couldnt warp away. Got a Itty4 that was stabbed.
Focusing Scripts give the Warp Disruption Generator an INFINITE warp strength. Meaning, its a targetted Interdictor bubble
