It's hard to be a drone fighter when you can't carry any spares with you.
Also, we need a new skill like Drone Telepathy, which will allow you to control more than 10 drones....assuming we can ever carry more than 10 heavies.

Ever used a dominix? Plenty of room for spares in that ship.

They'd need to reduce drone cause altency more before we get to control more then 10 drones.
Also, a dominix pilot controlling 30 heavy drones would be a bit much to deal with at a gate i think.
If you want to be a drone fighter, get a drone carrier (i.e. Thorax or Domi, maybe Typhoon).
CCP might be introducing some new drone types some day. those would lighten up the drone front a bit it hink.

uhm unless I am misreading you, I wouldn't do a straight swap for a dominix, mega.... you know the mega is worth around twice that of the dominix right?

Typhoon rocks for Drone users - 3500 drone space (14 heavies) is second only to the Dominix while having much better forward combat capability (4 launchers and 4 turrets in the high slots with good ship bonuses) and tons of low slots for damage mods, cap relays if you are tanking etc. It also happens to be the fastest bs stock. Gooooood stuff.

I agree 100% and have thought this for a very long time! give the megathron more drone bay! and reduce all the other battleships!

Have you noticed that there's a pattern between the Tier 1 and Tier 2 battleships yet? Tier 2 battleships are sluggers. Tier 2 battleships are more suited than the Tier 1s for getting into a target's face, taking hits and slugging back. Megathron needs more drones like the Tempest needs more turret slots.
Both ships are fully capable of filling their role, slug matches, as they stand. Given more, they'd skate extremely close to being unbalanced.
