i have a dilema.....for whta`ve seen in game and read on the forums....most of the people use Faction ammo.... Im an amarr pilot so ....heavy pulse laser t2 with Amarr navy MF..... will do the same dmg as the heavy modulated energy pulse with AN MF..right?(maybe more couse of the specialization skil) So why bother train T2.....just for the 10% dmg boost u get when u have specialization lvl 5(witch takes some time to train) and so u can have more sp to count..... And besides t2 lasers has more fitting requaierments...and takes more cap to fire....

Edited by: Liang Nuren on 20/12/2007 07:06:03 1. Moar Damage 2. Cheaper 3. T2 Ammo (Scorch, for example)

Ed: Also, most people aren't actually PVP'ing with the faction ammo that they spew on the forums, in my experience [for instance, I don't generally use RF EMP, but do use CN Scourge]. ;-) -- I give up (Make me say whatever you want!): Price Check: Liang Nuren

Taking the Specialisation skill to level IV isn't that bad a train for the extra 8% damage.
In the specific case of Heavy Pulse Lasers, the T2 Scorch crytsal is worth the train on its own.
As for the extra fitting, once the related skills are to a decent level, fitting tech 2 becomes less and less of an issue. In the meantime, a well placed meta or faction module can normally sort it out anyway.

Faction ammo is used instead of the high damage t2 ammo, but the ranged t2 ammo types (like null for blasters and barrage for autocannons) are widely used.
