In the past couple of weeks, there has been confirmation that two 80's classics that I grew up watching on a daily basis are being redone.
The A-Team
Knight Rider
I have very mixed feelings about this. Its cool to see these being redone, I'll be interested to see how they apply these to modern times. But at the same time, they're almost sacred to me. Not sure what to feel. I don't like that the new Kit isn't anywhere near the same, but the Shelby sure is hot!

Yeah, I was reading about that earlier. I'm not quite sure what I feel about that either. It's got The Wachowski Brothers directing, which can go both ways. I'm afraid that they expended all they had to give with the first Matrix. But it does have Christina Ricci, which is a plus for anything.

For the love of god no!
They're running out of ideas so they remake good series of the past to fit in the present. If it worked back then that doesn't mean it'll work in the now damnit, they'll destroy it :(
Unless they make it as epic as the new BSG, but I don't see that happen in a long long time.

knight rider i dont think will be a big deal as it was just the hoff as the main character.
but the A-Team, damn. how can you fill the boots of those guys? i hope that it doesnt get made.
although that being said BSG is a great remake of the original so we will just have to wait and see.

Without The Hoff and Mr. T they should just rename the shows to "Rider" and "The Team" as they won't be half the originals.

Whilst some remakes are actually done quite well, It's an incredibly bland/unoriginal/riskless thing to do as rather than creating something that's going to be successful, they're taking something that already was successful and putting some hollywood actors+CGI effects in to rake the money in (which is all most films seem to be about these days)
