and curious to see some of the tricks used to increase speed and maintain it while using MWD's.i have a MOA with a 10 MWD but i just do not seem to be as fast as others.have all engineering skills and navigation skills except jump drive at lvl 3 or higher.look forward to all opinions and advise.thanks in advance.

Fuel conversation only works for ABs, so nope won't help.

try 1 extra mwd or ab most "speedy"pilot's use more then 1 ab/mwd

I usually refit to 'travel mode' before travelling longer distances. One way is 2 MWD's and loads of cap recharge since you'll run out of cap in no time otherwise. My favourite though is to bring the weapons offline and fit a 100MN AB and one 10MN MWD on a cruiser, not as high topspeed as with 2 MWD's but great acceleration for fast gate approaches. Hitting the gates at 4500 m/s in a thorax is kinda fun.

For traveling I strongly recommend 2 MWD's. And just put on as many cap batteries, and cap relays as you can fit.
My favorite ship for traveling is the punisher. 2 MWD's and 4 cap relays. I never run out of cap.
