yea, thats pretty much what i did, screeshot, paste into photoshop, crop, and import into a viewport in max for a reference picture. Would save me a bunch of work though just doing a screenshot

another question about this ambulation thing, will it be avaiable to users of premier graphics only, or will there be a classic version that everyone can use?

if i recall the whole point of eve was that it didn't discrimante (Spelt wrong, but i am sure you know what i mean)
some of us simply can not afford to get a better pc/laptop/mac insert type of computer here.
then to bring out something that means that only certain people can run seems a bit on the biased side, especially if it is going to bring new things in the game that will help you or be a hinderance to others.
I urge ccp to make a classic version that everyone can run.

For all that is good and holy, please do not use the word discrimination. No one is discriminated in EVE. Sure, you will have to upgrade your computer in order to see the Trinity Graphics and as far as we were informed, also for Ambulation, but this has been the regular process for PC hardware for the last 15years. So nothing changed here.

Okay that might have been a bit silly but it's not like classic user lose anything, and whole walking in station thing will be here in like.. 2010? you'll have new comp by then I'm sure. |

Being able to trot around in a station doesn't really strike me as getting a lot more from the game. It's just a pretty distraction. Not core gameplay.

would you rather see EVE be some elitist aging game played by a diminishing number of enthusiasts?
ppl unable to run premium right now loose none but pretty pictures, enough ppl with a computer capable of premium run classic for performance gain. By the time ambulation comes up the now modern trinity is quite possibly the classic for then, being maintained for those with aging PC's with a capable box sold in supermarkets, plus a shiny version for the ppl with a large PC budget. EVE has always been covering a wide range of platforms.
And its not that bloody expensive. Yes i had the moneys to buy a new vid card, its about an afternoon's work for me...i'm a fecking dishwasher.

Probably because its the core element of how their World of Darkness MMORPG will work, and they don't want to tip off the 'competition' to what they are developing (at least not anymore than they can avoid). Its always worth remembering that development of Ambulation isn't for Eve, its just being rolled out to eve, but its the core of the WOD game for the Pale Puppy

Is EVE really going to make it far enough for Ambulation? I joined EVE to play with a few friends from school, but now they are selling all their accounts and moving on to another MMO that's coming out of Beta. I just don't feel like there will be enough people playing EVE by the time Ambulation is released to make it worthwhile.

Enough people that you know still playing you mean. Eve won't live forever, but with setting new peek user records and all that crud it's got at least a year left in it even in a perfect storm of fail. The scenario would probably involve most of the subscriber base being killed by some pandemic.
If you want to quit by all means go right ahead and do it, stuff contract ect... |

I'm sorry I can't show you anything about ambulations, I work in Internal Affairs and really have nothing to do with any of that stuff.

Now this would be awesome but I'd guess that it's just a spoof.
However, it does give some sort of scale to the ships. It makes you realise how big the Zealot really is when you compare it to the walkway that the characters are standing on.
