For me its not about not afording to loose it. If Im going to loose anything its gonna me my mistake or me getting killed by rats due to not enough skills/owned. But I have a hard time accepting a loss due to the company to whom we pay for playing a game.

The tools are there to use to get whatever you lost back due to a server crash. Why b**ch about it? At least I can say one thing. CCP is on top of the issue. Its the fastest they've said "Hey, server's broke, we're working on it." So, there we go.
