Looks good, i wonder if there's a skill/mod system coming. Hopefully this will compete with EVE. Graphics look stunning, much better than Trinity right now.

Better graphics? Hardly...the effects might look better but in another 3-6 months that won't be the case either.
As for gameplay, it could be decent but somehow I don't think it'll be nearly as deep and complex as EVE. I might check it out, but I won't be switching any time soon.

Dev Blogs state that they are reworking the rest of the graphics in the game...from turret effects, missiles, and a bunch of other stuff.
It's over to the left of this post under "dev blogs" somewhere.

The graphics guys are currently redoing all of EVE's special effects (explosions, missiles, lasers, guns, etc.), It'll probably be done by then.

If you control your own ship in it, i will be imeadtly sold to it. Something eve never could offer to me.
In that aspect allegiance from microsoft is still the best multiplayer space shooter ever in my eyes.

Is this like, Jumpgate 2?
I remember having a trial of Jumpgate a looong time ago. Kinda similar to Eve (at the time), but you actually controlled your ship, like X3. Same kinda slidy Newtonian-physics too. Dogfighting was awsome, so close to Elite, but it was pretty ugly and pvp was chancy at best, you either lagged to death or got gang-humped.
Hell, your starter ship even looked like a Cobra MkII :D
Ive singed up for the beta for this, Eve might have a contender for my cash IF it delivers on the controls.

True story.
I never found the lag that bad myself. Sometimes, the guy you were shooting at seemed to magically jump to another part of the screen, but it wasn't that often.
