Indeed some can look up a name ingame and find out.
and then there are newb alts that will still buy BP's at 1 billion (go figure).
Thus there would actually be no need for displaying corp-info.

I'm sure a lot of people can bid a lot higher.
A suggestion to the owner. You will get a lot more for your BPO is you let people bid openly here instead of going for some private deal a couple of hundred mil above the price.
Simply tell people to post up their offers here and you will see how high it will get.

Just one comment: 450 doesn't make any sense as an economic investment because you have positively no chance of making good on that kind of money.
And as a price for a unique item, 450 still way too low.
So why are you bidding, people, why? Wait, don't answer that one... |

I'm afraid that real-world business pressures are going to have to take precedence over my on-line business. There's no way that I'm going to be able to get access to Eve tonight and so I'm forced to extend the auction through till tomorrow evening.
I would ask that the bidders who wanted a private conversation about their offer consider two things:
1) private or public, you'll be bidding against each other anyway, and
2) in public view, you know that I'm not lying about the offers that I have received 
So, to get research/production moving swiftly along tomorrow night, let's get a price settled

Doesn't have to always make economic sense, after all can't you buy something because you want to use it or even just because you want to own it!
