5m isk Will be paid to the first person to produce the corpse of VOGON the ore thief, currently operating out of TEONUSUDE.
This fool made the mistake of stealing ore, and running to the sentry guns. One of our Scorpions armoured him before he could dock, but was unable to complete the kill. It is hoped that professional bounty hunters will be able to finish the job.
This opportunity is not available to Vogon, corpmates of Vogon, his friends or associates.

Interesting trend in ore theft. Now alot of the real high sec systems have been stripped by the greedy BS miners, I have been driven into areas I would normally avoid avoid such as 0.5 space. Though in theory `safe', 0.5 has the problem of slow Concord response, an obvious disadvantage for an unarmed indi driver.
Far from the hard life I expected, I find these areas now full of the aforementioned miners. Instead of Veld and Scor its now Plas and Omber, much more profitable to the ore removal technician.
So I say `get on down' to these areas, be not afraid and do a bit of freelance haulage for these guys...they love it

Edited by: Oldgiffer on 16/03/2004 13:36:57 You have to love ore thieves, what would secure space be without them. All you ever hear is miners whining on about not being safe to mine where they want. Keep up the good work and get the miners to move out to low sec space. Then they can have a whole lot more to complain about than ore thieves. The more ore thieves the better.

"Ore Removal Technician" ...I love it!
Hey, at least he's actually taking the ore. I've been seeing an increase in guys just attacking and destroying jet-cans full of ore. Now those guys are just being jerks and completely worth the sec hit to fling a few missiles at.

lol .. sec cans are hardly worth it for the hard core miners .. 3900m3(i think) rofl that fills in all of what, 7 minutes tops? and then they have to be a certain distance away from each other .. they should be ATLEAST 20000m3 imo for the giant cans(and not carryable assembled)..just do like i do, find a vacant region and mine the FULL UNTAPPED belts .. where i mine i see maybe 1 person in a week(and yes its empire space) .. hundreds of systems out there that are going to waste people, go explore, there is more out there than just the systems on the "highway"
%#$% wait, what am i saying!?!? stay where you are! more hemorphite and hedbergite for me!!! *ejects from ship and starts humping the hemorphite roid*

What is so lame ... Dude steals ore someone spent hours mining, he gets bounty on his head, and its lame. Its just part of the game. I usually kill the ships of these suckers myself, but if u cant be arsed about it, why not. It just adds some fun to the everyday life of a bounty hunter. Besides 5 mill isk isnt pocket change to some one who will actually bother to find and kill the "criminal" :) ----------------------

heres an idea: how about all you people stop and think for a second, and maybe youd realise that a bounty hunter shouldnt give damn about the REASON for a mission, but rather the reward, and the potential outcomes. This guy isnt 'whining', hes offering an opportunity of a quick hoarder kill, and an easy reward for it. Repercussions are doubtful as the guy is so lonely he cant even get any clan buddies to mine a bit of ore for him, he needs to steal it, so no need to worry about his friends.
so, who cares about pathetic reasons for a mission? I say if youre passing by, run a quick check in the system the thief is in, and if hes there go for the money.
A bounty hunter doesnt get paid to understand what hes doing, he only gets paid for doing it. |

Thanks for the logic Erai, was needed on this thread. Funny how some people will turn out to support an admitted ore thief on the forums (they won't support them when 4 battleships are in the system looking for said thief), widely agreed to be the lowest level griefer in the game. ------------------------------------- // The views expressed by this poster are not the views of the poster's corporation, alliance, planet or television network... but they should be. |
