I'm pumping up my Drones tree hardcore, and I was wondering, are the Racial Drone Specialization skills worth the three weeks for the 2% damage increase?
I may or may not train them eventually, I'm just wondering if I should make it more of a priority than "whenever I feel like it."

There is no "should", figure out if you want to do it or not.
If you want to max out your relevant drone skills, then yes do it. If not, then see what you can train during the time it would take to max it out then decide which one gives you the best result.
Also consider what you find fun to train :)

You will need the drone spec skills up, if you ever want to use tech 2 heavy drones.

Only to 4. Training to 5 is like everything else, if that will give you a better improvement to your character for the time spent than anything else then do it.

Dominix probably the ship that will get most out of training them and even it only gets Ogre II damage per second (dps) increased from 467 to 475 (with all other skills maxed out). Judge yourself if that's worth it. Eve Fitting Tool is great for figuring out how certain skill will effect your current ship setup.

I consider myself a heavy drone user with about 7.5m in this tree,but getting the specc from 4 to 5 needs approx.about 20days which i¦d better spent in other skills...if i ever will train one up to 5 i¦d be the gallente one,cause i love Ogres II,but tbh this wont happen anytime as long as i find a 3 week-skill which give more "overall"-use.

I wouldn't train them until I had ALL the other skills I need at least al 4

And yea, I'm getting them to level 5 myself (minmatar and gallente drone specialization). Pilgrim pilot here.

I'm drone and armor tank based and love it. My Drone skills are 5 across the board for racial and sentry drones. I'm very very glad I took the time to do so. I do fly the Dom with BS 5 and again don't regret taking the time getting the dps up.
I should also note that I'm just a PVE lvl 4 mission runner, so I can't speak for the PvP point of view but from a pve view, It rocks.

Normally pumping anything up to 5 is best left alone till you have nothing else that needs training in the time it takes for that 4-5 gap to finish.
Most of the time people are fine with lvl4, unless its a prereq for something and needs 5.

But definately get drone interfacing up to 5 as soon as possible! 20% more damage - yipee!

Really, if you fly drone boats 90% of the time, then i'd say yes, get at least one or two of them to level 5. Gallente and Minmatar to 5, training Amarr drone spec to 5 is pointless as EM drones are quite litterally pants. Caldari drone's aren't that much better.
