Just avoid those, there's plenty of profitable offers on the LP stores.

Sorry but LP store prices are absolutely ********, which of course means that market prices for said items are ludicrous to say the least. Keeping them rare is one thing, but keeping these things so pricey means that people will rarely risk them at all, which means less combat and less variety in combat. The recent 'rebalancing' of the LP store only exacerbates this problem and was an absurd choice to make given the circumstances. Now things are more expensive than ever, and coupled with the insane faction standing hits that you take to even get tags at all, it's quite the waste of time.
Thank god for farming alts.

Yeah I have to agree with this statement. The example I gave above has only an advantage of 5 less points in cap activation compared to a t2 varrient.

/signed ... why in the world is it called "LP store" anyway when it's 99% "tag farming store".
It would be so much more fun if there was actually any point in spending LP on those things or *gasp* using the modules in combat because they're affordable.

Apparently they adjusted some of the LP offers in the new patch...not that I can see much of a change. It still needs a lot of work though imo. Thing is, we already grind the LP and ISK for the offers and the tag quantities just make it totally overpriced and not worth your time/effort with a few exceptions. Before the store came out even when tags were required for agent offers they were not in the massive quantities they are now.
This does fit in line with the path EVE is taking these days though, that being making the game more of a time sink so we play more and/or continue to play longer to achieve the things we want(eventually). Most MMO's work on this basis, WOW being one of the worst offenders with massive grinding to get anything decent. They keep adding more and more time sinks to EVE on both the PvE and PvP front. The LP store, although it's a great idea, is just another one of them. This is how you keep your customers for longer.

Indeed, when they introduced the LP store, it immediately reminded me of the Faction vendors in WoW (= biggest timesink for solo players).
In WoW you don't have the effort-free regular income you do in EVE though (Datacores, T2 BPOs and other stuff with little/no effort) and the items you get in a comparable way are not available on the market, so I don't quite see their point. I'd rather have more interesting stuff to do, not more of the boring stuff to get what I can buy anyway.
