I can, like many others fit two monitors on my shiny grafix card. (DVI and Analog)
I understand from the posts here that eve supports this and makes use of it. But... How?
What can you do with it I mean? Is it useful?

You can definatly use 2 monitors in horisontal span mode but the ship will be on the boundry between the 2 screens. I think the game handles 1 or 3 monitors itself, but not 2. I have read that if you have a 3 monitor set up a check box appears under the graphics settins to allow you to use the 3 monitors in full screen. I have 2 monitors and use eve on one in window mode and have a we browser or movie playing on the other screen. You can't really use eve FS when using 2 monitors or when you click on the other monitor eve will minimise.

i've also got 2 monitors, but it seems that if i have eve windowed and drag it to the extra monitor (not the main one), everything ³ber_ber laggs, and almsot freezes up, until i've draged eve back to the main screen...does that happen to u guys? -nove

change the graphic adapter in the graphic option panel, set eve on your 2nd graphic adapter (you got 1 since you use 2 outputs of your graphic card)

I get the same performance on either screen. I do find that it is a fair bit slower in windowed mode than full screen, but it is still playable, uless I try and do to much at the same time, like watch a high res movie (simpsons, southpark or family guy seem to work fine ). It is a shame there is not a 2 screen mode of play, just 1 or 3 as 3 screens is very rare to have on a home PC for gaming (although I have to say I am now tempted ).

Actually, after a few tests, I do get significantly slower performance on the secondary display. Not sure why, I'm not running anything else at the moment.

Edited by: Brent Steel on 21/03/2004 16:52:27 Check in teh graphics settings, for display adapter. I have 2 entries for my Ti4800 card, depending on which one I choose depends on which screen runs eve smoothly. Which I just realised is what John said, but it only just sank in.
